  1. My corolla has got RA40 struts and springs in it and i'm looking for a set lowered springs to make it lower and stiffer. Does anyone know what type of springs to use. I want a pretty heavy springs in the front and want the spring to seat properly. Will i need shorter travel shocks etc. Cheers Josh
  2. Hi Guys, Just wondering if anyone on this forum has any idea about mods on a 21r engine. Do 18r heads fit, are there alternate pistons. Has anyone built a 21R before and what did they use. I'm building it into a race engine for my corolla. I don't want to go down the 4AGE road as i want to run a 2 litre class and the car is already fitted with this engine Cheers Josh
  3. If you use the 2tg head on a 3t block you can bore it out to around 1972 cc from memory, you just need valve reliefs machined in the pistons, get some forgies and up the comp around 10.5 to 1 with a set of carbies and cams and you will have a quick little engine. Do a search on the net for 2tg 3t hybrid and you will find your info. Just have to be patient. Josh
  4. Hey felix was that RW HP or at the flywheel. Either way very impressive for. Was it a 4 0r 5k Josh
  5. Hi guys just reading up on all the different ways to lower the rear of my car and was just wondering i anyone has just inverted the top leaf and left the rest the same, instead of getting the eyes inverted. What did the car handle like and how much did it lower it. josh
  6. Thanks for your help guys, OldManRolla says that he shaves 100 thou of his heads straight away to get the comp up might give this a go with a set of 3mm dished pistons to see what comp i can get. Cheers
  7. cheers for your help on that mate, i'll look into it and see what i can do. Josh
  8. So the rods are obviously longer on the 4AGE engines then but what is the style of piston like, are they flat tops or dished and what is the volume of the dish. I can get 5k pistons with a 3mm dish on the for $150 a set. If it is going to be the same volume dish or greater i would be better off getting these psitons to save the stuffing around. Josh
  9. I also think i read somewhere on this site about using gemini pistons but i can't seem to fine it or am just imagining this. Don't 4AGZE have a diffrernt stroke asweell, Cheers Josh
  10. So what do you guys reckon that i should do i'm building the motor for a hill climber and i want the comp around 10.5-11:1. I know there is also variants in the 5k pistons. Which pistons are better to use compression wise or is there another piston i can use. Cheers Josh
  11. Hi guys could anyone tell me what sort of compression i would be looking at running a 3k big port head on a 5k block and what other ways i can up the compression. ie different pistons, decking the blocke etc. Cheers
  12. Hey Mickoolz i heard some champ helped you out with a few things on that. Oh yeah thats right it was me. My hillclimber is going to kick your bum.
