  1. Looks like an awesome project you got for yourself. Theres a similar one up for sale in my local right now, but i don't have money or time for anything right now. I always have liked the mid 70's Celica body style and have already missed one chance at owning one. I'm more of a Carb fan then fuel injection, simply because well they're simple. That being said a supercharged fuel injected 74 Celica would be pretty damn cool. Hope everything goes as planed.
  2. Well i don't care if its a bit rusty. I can fix that, the bigger problem is what the fender USED to bolt too. Its pretty messed up and will require some serious surgery to get it fixed. Ive taken it on the highway a few times and after i duck taped the fender to stop it from flapping in the wind, shes ready to go ahah. If you give me your number i could probably set something up for next weekend. Crofton is just past Duncan if my memory serves me correct and a little road trip would make things interesting. I know what you mean with the wreckers. All of em just crush stuff once its been sitting for too long to make way for all the shitty 80's trash. Ive come across this problem with more then old Japanese stuff and it kinda bugs me. Any who i can't think of anything off hand i need, but if i see shit ill probably buy it ahha i have a bit of cash to play with, but not much. Ohh and thanks for the welcome Woodstok makes me feel all warm and tingly inside.
  3. Holy Jesus! What a stroke of luck! I'm in the heart of Victoria, Fernwood to be exact. I don't know if i need anything else, maybe a drivers seat. Its a pretty big beater and I'm still not sure what I'm gona do with it. Ive phoned pretty much every auto wrecker on the island and even a few places on the mainland. If you have a left front fender from a 75 to 79 i could definitely use it. Thanks for replying!
  4. Ive only dreamed of doing something as bad ass as this to one of my vehicles and seeing someone else doing it through the works is always a pleasure. Very nice work.
  5. Well first off id like to give a hello to all. Second id like to say I found out fairly quick how hard it is to find parts online/in general for a mid 70's Corolla. I say this because recently i bought a 1975 Corolla 2dr with the 1200 3k-c and a 4 speed. I tell you its the best $150 (Canadian) ive ever spent. Mechanically its pretty damn good. I just put a clutch in it which including machining ended up costing more then the car haha. Yes its rusty, the shocks are shot, the interiors a bloody mess and it didnt have a radio until i crimped one in. BUT i still love the friggin thing. All this is leading up to the accident i had not too long ago. I buggered up the drivers side fender reeeeal good and can't find one at any of the auto wreckers or jobbers on Vancouver island. I still don't know what I'm going to do with the car, but i know I'm not ready to let it go. If ANYONE has any information/websites that may be of use in finding a decently priced fender id be ever so grateful. Thanks in advance Liam. P.S I would love to show you all pics of the car, but i don't have a digital camera at the moment.
