  1. thanks for all your help every 1 i think i will go sr mainly for the fact there eiseir to get parts 4 and cheaper ... as 4 the rb20/25 i already thought about that but decided it was to front heavy for the car and there 4 it would be wierd to slide also if any 1 has done the convertion could you please pm me with any helpfull hint or troubles they came across when doing the convertion . cheers
  2. iv found a whole dr30 with an fj and the owner wants $3000 for it and its is not stock its got a front mount biger turbo and bov but he used to be a mechanich so i would say its in pretty good nick ... not sure if this is a good reasonable price or not
  3. hi everybody I'm building a track drift car and can't deside on which engine to go with a sr20 or an fj20 it will be going into a flat nose quad hedlight ke70 corrola iv been told that you can get big hp out of an fj with stock internals but finding 1 isnt so easy but the sr is easy to find easy to get mounts 4 and easy to find more parts 4 not to metoin alot cheaper so some advice would be much apreciated and if any 1 has done iether of these conversions could u plz give me a link to it or something along those lines cheers
  4. thinking on doing the conversion because i have a 4age that someone wants to swap there ca18det with me for. thought bout doing other conversions but this one seems easier to do and quicker because I'm having a few money issues. just want you guys to let me no what you think. well the idea is that I'm moving overseas in 4months and want to finish a conversion into it before than. was going to go v8 but as i have stated ill have to wait a couple of month for the money to buy one. cheers and also i have heard alot bout the unreliability with these engines... can you guys give me some tips with preventing some of these problems.
  5. kermit 55 you wont sell me your 4 age ... jerk and as i said erlyer in this topick i found a way around if they belive my story lol and am puting in a 4 agte but if some 1 could point me in the direction of findin 1 of these rover moters or evan some imfo that would be much apreceated
  6. we found a way around the laws that afect him and can now drive turbo ... he dicided on 4 agte hopfully will be finished by the end of the year
  7. got a change my cable clutch to hydraulic... need some good directions and help. i just want to no what to buy and what work will have to be done and plus how much itll cost
  8. hey I'm doing a 4age conversion into a ke55 and just like to here a lil advice from some people. ive been told its easier to put a ae71 x member in my car but ive also been told it doesnt fit. should i just use my stock x member and make up some new engine mounts, but i also heard if i do that the 4age tends to sit too high... please need some help. and also like to no what people did diff wise and also tailshaft wise. I'm thinking of going hilux diff but guys if youve done a similiar conversion let me no. it would help me out so much. cheers
  9. i heard they run ok at 7psi but you will need to put a gze head gasket. the guy who owns jap imports on the gold coast runs a 4age bigport in his sprinter drift car

  11. doing a 4age conversion into a ke55.. need to no how i can make a tailshaft that will fit my diff and the t5o box. really stuck please need some advice. cheers

  13. i got a ke55 and i bought a 4age... just wondering would i need to use a ae71 pedal box or a ke55 pedal box?
