  1. Car is advertised for $15,600 which is the cheapest (Turbo Diesel) Mazda 3 on carsales with this amount of kms.
  2. Car is located in Mentone 3194 http://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/mazda-3-2009-13253746?base=1216&vertical=Car&cr=0&eapi=2&__N=1246%201252%201247%201282%201216&find=zac191%7cCarAll&silo=Stock&num=15&sort=default
  3. Quick update! Recently decided to try and get hold of complete struts, (shocker/spring assembly) maybe even coil overs, i want some adjustment for camber, caster, stiffness and ride height. The only problem is that i've done some searching online and this kind of set-up is extremely expensive! If anyone knows of somewhere that sells this kind of thing at a reasonable price, i would be grateful for the info. (but i do know this kind of thing is expensive) Also been having a quick look around for a 4AGE 20v Black Top. I found one being sold interstate by a jap wrecker for $1200.00 but still waiting to hear back to see what it comes with, ie: loom, ecu, accesories, basically all the stuff i need for a conversion into my AE95, i'm guessing at that price it will be just the motor. If anyone knows of a place selling these for a reasonable price in Melbourne i'd be keen to find out, obviously with accessories as mentioned. Anyway, that's enough dribble from me, happy drivin!
  4. Hi, still having problems with springs. I've only just recently received them from Industrial Springs and their wrong! :( This is beginning to get a little tedious, especially considering the supplier is giving me a hard time claiming that there's nothing wrong with the specs of their springs. Well after checking two AE95's side by side at the wreckers and finding the springs are exactly the same as the one's i removed from my car, i can assure them their springs are wrong! The one's they supplied me (supposedly lower & stiffer) were only about 10mm shorter than the one's i removed. Now considering the new springs had about a 1.5mm larger coil diameter, there's no way in hell the car was going to sit lower! I seriously was concerned for my life attempting to compress them far enough to fit the original struts, so i put the originals back instead until this problem has been resolved. I'll keep you posted, no rallying though until i get the right springs...Damn! In the mean time i've been using the cheap to run rolla for Eastlink testing, see photo. Also check out my cool number plate, that was a fluke, it is not personalised.
  5. Sorry for the long delay, just ordered some springs today from Industrial Springs. I looked around a lot of places before ordering these and even placed an order to get springs made to my specs (2 months ago) but got stuffed around big time so i pissed them off. Industrial Springs were the only place i found that actually list aftermarket springs for an AE95. The springs i've ordered are 30 - 40mm lower and 20 - 30% stiffer front & rear (they couldn't give me exact figures because of different wear & tear & factory tolerences & sofourth). I checked out Falcon Springs as suggested but found they are not exactly the same diameter so would not seat properly if fitted, and i'd have to cut them to make the car the right height which makes the cut end not seat properly either because it hasn't got a flat end anymore, it just would have been a little dodgy in my opinion. I will probably have to look at shorter shocks as well because i'm assuming with the shorter springs that when the suspension is at full travel, the springs may become unseated (common problem when lowered). I have to wait at least 4 weeks anyway to have the springs made (they had no stock, i guess they don't sell many) so i'll post more info once they're in. This probably isn't all that helpful to anyone that's interested in how i went but i'll let you know how i go in a few weeks hopefully. Happy drivin' !
  6. Thanks 7shades, i will go to the wreckers tomorrow and measure up some EA-ED springs for the rear. I guess the problem i still have is matching whatever springs i put in with shocks, don't want it to be one of those cars that go's down the road like a seasaw because the shockers don't match the springs :P . I'm definitely more interested in making the car handle well than look good, so i guess i'll have to spend a little time setting it up with different parts. :P Just to confirm, your saying for the rear to fit falcon springs with commodore shockers, is that right? As for the front, if it's the same as the AE92 i should be able to sort that out no worries. Oh yeh, almost forgot, the axle code is "Trans/Axle E57F5-834". By the way you were talking it sounds like you may have been involved in some dirt events yourself, maybe in a club? Thanks for your info :D
  7. Hello all, i've just registered with "rollaclub" and this is my first post so hopefully it's worked. :P I'm hoping i can get some help sourcing matched suspension components for my AE95 4wd wagon. I enter it in Autocross (dirt) events from time to time and the OEM suspension is definitely not up to the task. The car will also be registered and used frequently as a runaround so i don't want anything too stiff. What i'm mainly looking for is to make it stiffer and slightly lower so springs and shocks would be a good start, then i may look at camber and caster adjustment for the front. The sway bars are of a reasonable size already (F 24mm,R 18mm) so i'll leave those for now. As far as i can tell the front should be the same as an AE92 and the like, the rear looks very similar to an AE86 Sprinter live axle but not sure if it's exact?? I've tried places like Pedders (who only list standard height springs and couldn't tell me if they were stiffer or not :P ) and Whiteline who i would love to use but they have no listing for an AE95. I could just purchase front stuff for an AE92 and rear stuff for an AE86 but even if they fit, will the car be matched front and rear? For instance i'm sure the weight over the rear of an AE95 wagon is more than an AE86 Sprinter, therefore sagging the rear. If anybody can give me some ideas or know of somewhere that has suspension listings for an AE95, i'd love to hear from you. Once the suspension's sorted i'll look at an engine conversion, the old 4AFE is a little asthmatic to say the least.
