I lost my dip stick out of my 5k don't ask how... I've got a spare dip stick out of a 7k efi engine. Could someone measure up a 5k dip stick for me and tell me the length so I can work out if I can use it. Thanks.

Yea the mark on the pully was not right I've made my own mark by setting the piston at tdc,., that was the first thing I've done but. Just took my webers off and the one closest to the front had a slight rip in it I think this could of been a problem...???

Did all that. Put the dizzy to so it's firing at abou 8-12degrees adv and won't start once I put it at about 30-40 adv it cranks over, it will start but won't idle or run long... I will double check if I have a exhaust leak or carb gaskets are leaking dout it... Any other suggestion or should I take it somewhere?

So if my cam shaft timing is out is that something the engine builder has stuffed up if he put the cam in?

Shit so I just went to muck around on it now... Went and did a static time on it and the distributor key way only goes into the cam one way and it the closest I can get to it being tbc and when I time it with a gun it reads like 50 or so degrees out... I don't know much about engines but I'd like to hope I'm doing it wrong... Or am I using the wrong dizzy? I think it's a 4k one is there a difference between a4k n 5k elc dizzy?

Yea it was lean, I richen it out alot and ran like that only because the timing was out so much... If I retard it the way I have my carbs set now it will be to rich I will need to put them back where they were all get the timing right. I just want to get it running to take to someone to tune them proplery... I got no idea with carbirs...

No sure it only runs very rich. I will try tomorrow. Trial n error...

Just got my hands on a timing gun and realized it's way advanced over 60 degrees and it was no room to retard. At what degrees should the distributor be timed at?

Hey guys I just got my ke20 running lastnight it's a fresh motor big cam big head work done etc. Now I got it started and it's running very lean and won't idle. Just wondering if anyone knows how to richen it up just temporary until it gets dynoed? Also when I rev it it takes awhile it get the revs back down is this because it's not timed or untuned? Guys I don't know if this is covered but I couldn't find anything...., I have a ke20 put a 5k in it with twin 40s... Now I'm stuck with the clearance for the airfilters... Please guys tell me what you've done and what to do. Thanks!

Guys I might sound like a complete nob..... But bare with me. I was wondering if I can use a 5k flywheel out of a lite ace van with the 5k clutch kit with a k50 or k40 gearbox going into a ke20 or do I have to go smaller and use a 4k fly n clutch kit? Whats the best thing to do? Thanks in advance.

Hi I have a original ke20 rev tacho and I can't get it wired up can anyone assist me on this? It's got a red, green blue orange brown and another red wire. I connected the red to power and ended up being earth. Spinning me out!

thats my cam i just put in my engine what do i need to do to the rockers i just shaved my head afew thou standard rods and hydro lifters any tips before i get the engine bak this arvo also does it look like a lumpy cam to you thanks
