Its been a while since ive been on these forums, but anyway, a quick question for you all, will the 4EFTE head bolt onto the 3ETE bottom end?
The reason i ask is that my 3ETE has about 211,000kms on it and i need to change the timming belt. I was thinking of either throwing a low km 4EFTE motor in the EL31 (corolla II, GP Turbo) but does that require much work?
Maybe trying to fit a 4AGE or something similar
OR just rebuilding the motor with new seals and a ported head.
Anyone have any tips for me? I'm fairly low on dollars, so id rather do the less costly. A belt change would be the cheapest, but the seals or rings might start failing in a few thousand km's, so i might as well rip the motor out while i can.... or should i trust the strength of the 3ETE?

i actually spoke to the wrecker guy 2 weeks ago and he swears its a non-turbo ! , funny with the scoop, but anyway, he doesnt want to part at all. so that sucks for all of us :)

hey man, nah got the TT soarer now. Kirk on toymods has put a 1GGTE with bigger twins in it now. sounds a lot quieter too, which is a shame :dance:
