  1. Hey Folks, Does anyone make decent coil-overs for an AE86 any more, struggling to much in Google or the forums.
  2. Go to Repco, they have them in the book, however like the OP you will get the wrong one, their part No is incorrect, get the AE86 one off the book, it is correct.
  3. Port Matched Twin 40mm TRD Intake Manifold 2 x 40mm Carbs (Dellortos) Polished Head Cam Standard Points Dizzy (Really to get electric) 8+ degress advance 2.25" Exhaust Yes, I know folks a 4AGE is easy, but running Logged PRC P2 vehicle. a 4AGE is NOT allowed.
  4. Keep up the 4AC POWER!!!!!! Mine is that, I have a worked 4AC with twin carbs, puts alot to shame, there is alot to be said for this head for its day. I stay with the 4AC, as I race in Production Rally, a 4AGE is a NO NO. Keep up the tops work, you will have a heap of fun. with the twin carbs, there is no vacume required except for brake booster (If you have one) and advance on points dizzy, thats it, just remove all the rest of the shit.
  5. Correct - I keep and A and the original K one, never know which one is which, but works for me everytime.
  6. A K series box is a single piece bell housing and gearbox housing unlike the T series which is a three piece. This means that No not easily can you adapt an A series bellhousing to a K series box. Unless you do a cut and shunt which will cost mega $$$, like previously stated even a second hand T50 would be cheaper. Try this instead, if you have one T50 from an A Series, you can buy a T50 from a T series very cheap,(I keep them as spares for my rally car as they are chaper, I am unaware of any mechanical difference of power rating difference) the only difference is the bellhousing and rear connecting section which are interchangable between the A and T series T50 boxes. SO you can just swap your A housing from the existing box and just stick them on a T series T50 of which there are heaps floating around. Hope this helps
  7. Got it, undid a few more bolts a bit looser and Bingo, it is in
  8. Hey Guys I am fitting some XT130 LCAs, the Castor Arm is just .5mm out of wack and will not jsut drop in. Is there a trick? or do I NEED Castor Arms from an RT or similar??????\ Cheers MIke
  9. They are getting rare, many wreckers are scrapping for cash rather than parts, I have been paying some premiums for stuff, give it another year and will be more again. $200 although seems a bit rich, most seem to be going for $100 to $150, but are worth the effort to convert a cable clutch pedal box from a KE70 will take too much effort.
  10. I am not sure, have not even really seen anyone investigate it. My first thought would be to check vehicle compliance against the ADR for the time. I have a KE70 as well, I think we both fall under the Second Edition ADRs in conjunction to the specified compliance on the plate. The plate will indicate which sections it complies to. ADRs can be found here - http://www.infrastructure.gov.au/roads/mot...sign/index.aspx hope this helps
  11. Hi Guys We over tighted one of the bolts and the head came off, we are using stud removers to get it out but it broke off. We need to get the pump off so we can get a better look at the stuck bolt. We removed all the bolts and I think we are stuck on the strainer, is there a technique to get it off without removing the sump pan? If we need to remove the sump pan, is there a way to get off without removing the engine?? Any help appreciated, and urgently needed, thanks so much Mike P.S Also Posted on Toymods
  12. I would have thought this would be possible, considering that the 4A engine series essentially uses the same block. I am doing a RWD conversion, so I am not 100% sure, but I would not have thoughts it mattered
  13. What size bolts do I use to secure clutch plate/cover to flywheel on a 4AC?
  14. I am putting side draughts on it, and do not have anyhting to connect to the charcoal line, so I figured I would just block this off
  15. Hi Guys See two pictures attached, one is the solid lines from the fuel tank (Assume) and the other the fuel pump on a 4AC engine. I need to get the two of these linked, the pictures describe what I think each are, Am I correct? Cheers Mike
  16. www.exedy.com.au They have a cluth finder on their site, accurate. I used it to find a Sports Organic for my car, works a treat.
  17. Hi Guys Would a 4K starter motor suit a 4A engine? Cheers Mike
  18. Give these guy a call, they can get them for you Automoda Pty Ltd * 85 Queens Rd Five Dock 2046 * (02) 9744 7112
  19. Dellorto Stuff is easy to find, it is just a matter of where to look. Dellortos are used on Alfa's and most enthuasiasts when upgrading remove them to install Webers, so see an person who runs Alfas, there are soooo many spares it is great. Check our the Alfra Romeo Driver Club of NSW as a good place to start. on EBay a set of 40mm DHLAs in re-co shape can go for $600+ and nons can often be not far from it, for an Alfa guy with left overs, they go for a bargain aroung $100.
  20. Guys I have been looking for extractors too, however there is bad news by the looks of it. I have been searching under many rocks and most if not all manufacturers have stopped producing beloved extractors for the 4AC... :bash: I am having to get mine custom, now custom can be expensive and sometime it is not, the 4AC is an easy one to design up and if like me you want mild steel ones, then they will be cheap, however in stainless expect to pay $$$. If anyone happens to know of a smaller vendor still making them, please let us all know, but by the looks of it we will just have to make our own.
  21. :bash:  Success byt the looks of it, I contacted the seller and he can source me another, a little bit more in the $$$$ but I have one.
  22. Doh, I did not even see it, your post did not automatically e-mail me. I am Sooooo Dissapointed I missed it. I now have my flanges, just need to join them..... :)
  23. I Have twin 40mm carbs to mount, I thought if another engine shared the same pattern that a vendor may make an existing manifold to suit. So far it is custom, it is no biggies, just more $$ and plenty of time, if I could just buy one, much easier
