  1. Definately noticeable, but not as good without a cam and exhaust to go with it...

Its dirt cheap compared to other options. You need the carb, an air cleaner and an adapter plate, so a couple of hundred bucks.

What options would you consider?? DCOEs, SUs, injection, twin stock Aisans??

Honestly, if you just throw a weber on (jets tuned or not) it makes fck all difference. You wont feel it a great deal. Like altezza said, with more work done to the engine they become a valuable upgrade. Cam, exhaust, bit of head work etc

  2. Hey Luke, the heads are fine to swap, as long as they are the same (big/small port) although the camshafts had different lift and duration, does the gze loom have any extra sensors over the 4age? I can't remember.

Club4ag.com has alot of useful specs on the 4a series.

  3. Gday guys, i bought this about 6 months ago with an inboard 253 V8 and jet unit (now sold).

Fully stripped the boat to the hull, stringers and bulkheads were rotten as. The hull is solid 10mm fibreglass (no timber), and having the inboard didnt have timber transom (just 8-10mm glass).

The hull is in great shape, only holes are from the jet unit intake and transom exit. The trailer is rusted to buggery (still kinda towable), so will need a tow truck to move it.

I had intentions of fully renovating her, I still might. But i will soon be back to 7 days a week at work, and i have my car and smaller boat to work on. can't remember the manufacturer of it, but the details are on the old rego papers.

She is a deep V displacement hull, so sits deep and solid in the water, with a VERY solid glass hull, a perfect base for a project.

Will try to put pics up when i can.

Would be an awesome father son project or similar, just don't see myself having the time for the bigger boat.

Located 20 minutes from Toowoomba, any questions PM me here, or message Luke 0458526243. Sorry about the breif add, ill update when i can.

Asking $500, don't be scared of the project.

    Cheers guys.

  4. Gday guys, just wanting confirmation of how the hoses are run. I have just replaced the leaking heater core in the new twinky and really hoping someone can post a pic, or help me out with this. Its been a long time between twinkies.

I made a crude diagram of the basic pre thermostat heater components (throttle body heater tap, heater core and thermostat housing).

Ill post another of how mine is plumbed, any help is greatly appreciated (cmo carbonboy and trev).

    Cheers in advance guys, Luke.
