What would be overkill for a a small car?
What would you suggest. i want to run two fronts 6.5" and a sub in the boot,
right now i have two 6x9s, should i ditch them?
Was at Wills trying out a couple of sub - speaker combinations and this is what i thought sounded alright

i'm not sure what the amp was that was running them but what would run them both?
and does it matter what wattage headunit i'm running if everything is running off the amp?

i got it as a birthday present for my 16th, was never really going to be a look at me kind of car, it had a really faded paint job and surface rust all over the roof and a smacked in boot.. i just wanted it to look nice haha
i want to lower the front just a bit to give it a more even look.

You sure those brackets aren't Zinc plated? Anodising steel = Rust.
to be honest i have no clue, my dad got them done.

Just to clarify, I meant inside the arches.
As you can see in the above picture, the old grime and that stands out against the nice new paint.
I think that little tidyup bits make the world of difference. When I have done stuff like that on mates cars it
has improved the overall look a heap.

never thought of painting the wheel arches black, i'll consider it,
i have no clue about the rims and tires!

anodized hood hinges. bit of sparkle.
need to give the engine bay a clean :wink:

well it's all together now, need to get the indicators etc to work, it's being stupid only the headlights will work?
looks 10000x better than originally so i'm quite pleased with it.
will take photos in the light when the car is started, it won't start at the moment, dad said fuel in the carby had most likely evaporated?
hasn't been started for AGES

It's been sitting in the shed for ages without being turned on, so won't start at the moment
Dad is getting one of his mates to do something with all the engine mounts. most are done but he took a few more should be here today. It's like a chrome dip but it comes out a goldish kind of colour? Name keeps slipping my mind, then when we get new rubber stripping for the boot the exterior is finished.n :yes:

good to hear my work is inspiring haha :)
progress has been really slow lately ;) as there is much more i can do anymore, all that is left is the bootlid being fixed then it can begin being painted :lolcry:

don't want super subsonic bass or anything haha just a good sound :) with the best quality i can get. i will probably be running off an amp just so i can have them in my boot and have it symetrical haha
so, 1 amp for 1 sub, would i need 1 amp to run two front splits and 2 6x9's ? or is 6x9s AND a sub too much? atm all i have is the 6x9's sony. not explod lol i guess they sound alright??

on the dash where it is that black stuff. not sure what it is but the stuff that cracks, is it hard to take off? or would you have to take apart the whole dash?
thinking about making a new one.
