I managed to bust up my knee real good at work. No impressive scars or anything...just alotta pain.

Possible to upgrade this to avoid the problem? VT starter or something? Well yeah. I wont be thrashing it.....much....but if it can take that kind of a beating I'm sure it'll last as my daily.

I'm looking at a VR commodore. I just wanted to know about their reliabilty. My parents once had one that was a lemon but Dad had a VS that lasted 280,000k's without a single hassle.

Cheers mate. That's what I was looking for. Pretty much I just wanna sick it out on practice days down at 'lalla till i get good enough to compete. I guess I'll keep saving and looking into doing the e7 and use the S13 as a last resort as I'm hopefully buying a S13 (or something similar) as my daily lol. So I really want the rolla because I love them. I just want the daily for all the comforts.

I was thinking of building my own 70 or 71 with a maximum of spending 5000 throughout the whole build. It's more fun that way. But sadly I might go the s13 path if it looks like a un-realistic idea to do the 70/71. I'm buying a R31 or S13 very soon but I really don't want to slide that one as it will be my daily/cruise car.

Alright as funds allow me I'm planning on building a ke71 or ae71 drifter. What is the absolute minimum I will need? I want to take it out to track days and not get laughed at. I'd prefer not to do a engine swap until later on.

I guess you have a point. But there's also the thought that you probably earn alot more than me. And in 14 years I probably would've paid just as much tax (give or take a bit). This is a 1 off thing I'm led to belive. I guess we could argue all day but in the end...it's up to the goverment to decide.
