When i changed the shims over from the other diff they are in the same way as they came out. I bought a whole new diff centre just incase. When i tried to put it back with the original shims it was that tight i hit one with a hammer to see if it would go in and it broke lol.. SO thats why i got the new ones. It slid in easy as. So i'm guessing thats a good thing. Was just driving it back and forth before. Seems to be ok :). Just need to fix the handbrake system up. One side doesn't grab i Loosened it because the brake drum wouldn't go back on :lol:. So gotta figure that issue then it's all good to go.

I fixed the push pull.. And the rims are somewhat fk'd.. As for the movement in the pinion etc gears, There isn't any i know of :).. I know nothing about the diff.. It works the wheels turn etc.

Well Yeah there seem to be a little movement if you pull and push wheel but nothing bad. Brother was playing with that today

Erm there's no real play anywhere that I've noticed. Everything seems to fit nicely. Where will this so called play be if there is any ?

I Figured it out Ended up having to go get new shim's from the wreckers coz i snapped one trying to get the dif back in.. Was weird, The ones i got today were completely different to mine yet same car :wink:.. Now i just need to fit to car and add oil etc.

I'm going to revive this thread even though its not that old. Putting the diff Back together. Info: When i pulled the diff center out 4 (2 either side) i'm assuming spacers or something fell out. On either side one is thin and one is bigger. Question: Which way do they go.. Thin closest to center or bigger closer to center. and is it same on the other side ie thin closest to center. Cheers.

And they're out. Finally. Ended up putting the brake drum on backwards (tight) and smashing it with a big sledgehammer :laff:. Done the trick so I'm happy. Thanks for the replies anyways guys and girls if their were any :D.

Tried Brake Drum, Tried wheel and a sledge hammer.. Hmmm isn't getting very far, Hopefully Trev will reply soon.

Hmmm interesting. I got 5 of these guys, Bit dark now to have a look if they say fireball. 1 Tyre is brand new 2 Near new. and 2 are still pretty good.. I dunno to sell them seperate or sell them with the ke70.
