  1. Gee I guess I should do an up date on this some time soon, well here is a brief one, no more Toyota power, more like, Brap Brap Brap.........
  2. Just my opinion, having gone through the whole process and blown 3 engines and spend more money doing than I care to mention, buy the Altessa 3SGE Beams package, is $5000.00 seems like to much money then don't do the conversion, as doing a 185 or 205 engine conversion will cost you far more than that by the time it is in and running, even then there is no guarantee it will last more than 500kms........go the beams Jon
  3. Just a few pics from a the first round of DA, even won "Best Car" in the autosalon, got to be happly with that
  4. I would have to say my current Sprinter is the fastest car I have owned, yet to run it down the 1/4 but it should be well into the 9's, an example of just how fast it is, we were chasing it (a mate was driving) in a 4.8 Petrol Patrol, we were doing 180 to 190kmph, the Sprinter was pulling away like we were stopped, then it came on boost in 4th and started fish tailing down the road, with that much smoke pouring off the rear tyres I could not belive my eyes, since then we have made another 100+ rear wheel KW, and now it feels crazy fast.....600+hp into 820kg= as much fun as you can have with your clothes on. can't wait till the new engine is in and we turn up the boost
  5. Hey guys i just picked up a 3SFE engine complete with computer and loom, and as i have already done the conversion 3SGTE into my sprinter, i have got the whole conversion process down pat, so I thought why not do the converion into the KE70, it might work out to be a good alternative to the 4AGE conversion. The 3SFE makes 115kw standard, as opposed to the 86kw from a 4AGE, and makes a heap more torque than the 4AGE, yet still returns very good economy. The best part about this conversion is that the engines are plentiful and fairly cheap, I would like to get to the point where I can supply a full conversion package, including computer, loom, gearbox, mounts, manifolds and every thing ready to drop in, but that will be after we have completed this converion on my KE70. As soon as I have got my new memory card for my Camera i will take some shots and do a step by step build up. Cheers Jon
  6. Sorry for the delay guys, I had to check with my fibre glass guy, if we can get orders for 7 - 10 of them they will cost $550.00 ea, so if we get enough guys I will go ahead and get them made, BUT those interested will need to be prepared to pay at the time of placing the order, as the last time I did a group buy on bonnets I was left with 6 bonnets i had to pay for and took 5 months to move, I don't wish to be left in that possition again, so if you are keen and we can get minimum 7 people that want bonnets and have the cash then i will take the orders. Cheers Jon
  7. From the responce I would say its fair to assume there is no interest in them.
  8. As the title says, I am making a carbon bonnet for a mate, and was wondering if there was enough interest out there to make a few for others that might be interested. Send me a PM if you are interested Jon
  9. LOL, you should see the air hostesses
  10. Some more pics
  11. Well guys after more problems than i care to mention, the beast is finally up and running, as the engine is still yet to be run in, we have not done a complete power run, in fact we havent even pushed the engine yet, with a leaking inlet manifold and a waste gate that wouldnt stay shut, and an engine that had done less than 15kms, with no timing we were happy to see a positive 228rwkw with much much more to come, so now to get some kms into the engine and then get the manifold rewelded, a new waste gate and regulator, plus an E Boost on to the car and ramp up the timing, and bring on 480+RWKW ;) Dyno sheet for you veiwing pleasure
  12. Cheers Born, as you have rightly stated, unheard of in Aust, never in Adelaide, but yes it happened so you never know, a shot gun ride, I might just be able to accomodate that very thing..........keep in touch and I will see what I can do. Cheers Jon
  13. LOL A bit of back ground on the car, it will make better than 550rwkw, it weights 765kg, and the drive line is bullet proof, hence the reason for the big wheels. As far as power goes, yes the car will have its main feature as a drift car, but will also do things like drags, tarmac rally, and hill climbs, so the more power the better
  14. Sorry I have update my web site and the link no longer workes, please try again the pics are back up
  15. Hell yes I am planning on puting an Aussie flag on the roof, car should be running tomorrow, WWWOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOO
  16. Hey Yes that would be a 3sgte, but also yes we can replicate the manifolds
  17. Cheers guys, the motors is off getting built as we speak, its being built to handle 1100hp, but will be happy as with 550 rwkw, the new one is under wraps atm until I can finish negotiations
  18. My practise car whilst the new one is getting built
  19. Hey guys Picked up the AE71 that was on here for sale less engine, got it back to the workshop today, tomorrow we will fit the SR20 into it and wire it up, the gear box wont be here till friday, so that might be the only hold up, will order the Konig Rewinds for it tomorrow, and get the swuspension done later in the week, pics as it happens Cheers Jon
  20. Thanks for the interest guys, sorry I havent responde earlier but have just got off a plane from Melbourne. Unfortunatly the issue of track is a limiting factor on the sprinters, but remember that for not a huge amount of money you can get an engineers report done to increase the track on the car, which means you can run the wheels you want, but unfortuatly 12's are still out of the question.
  21. Just a couple more images
  22. Cheers guys thanks for your input Nick, it certainly sounds like you know your stuff, so far I am in agreement with every thing you have said, so it saves me posting, cheers for that. The only thing I will add with regars to the wheels is that the maximum size allowed under Australian Design Regulation is 10" and the rears are 12" and as such would not be passed in any state. As soon as I can find a spare ST205 engine it will be dismantled and the head will be sent off to be ported, Bench flowed and tested, titanium valves fitted amd match ported, so we can chase every last HP in the engine.
  23. Cheers guys, thanks for having me. as far as the injectors go, i am still deciding if i will stay with the GT35R or go up to the GT42R so the take no prisoners approach was implemented, just in case. sorry the shot is a bit old, i will get some more up when it is painted Cheers Jon
