  1. Are you sure your thermostat is opening Rone ? My water temp needle sits half way. Judging from what everyone is saying that the needle should be 1/4 , that means mine is also overheating. Except it doesn't rise, it just hoovers at midway.. even with no shroud and in traffic. I might look at installing a thermo fan switch and electric fan to keep the temp. at bay. Oh I forgot to mention, mines a 5k motor.
  2. which indicator line are you referring to Rone ? midway line or overheating line ?
  3. interesting topic Rone. My ke25 sits around mid way while driving and at idle with no fan shroud. Is the temp about right or is this over heating as well ? Cheers Steve
  4. wouldn't the eye of the center spherical bearing be a different size or do they all run the same size?
  5. emailed the guys at T3 with no replies. Shows their level of customer service. I'll be running coilovers so the camber tops will be usefull. Thanks Haydn. How many different bolt patterns do the te27 have ? if there's only one , then I can't see why the T3 te27 tops can't fit the ke25. Do you mind measuring the bolt spacing from center to center of the bolts mate ?? Cheers Steve

  7. Hi ash I've got a ke25 thats been lowered front and back. I've got no idea how low from standard. The ride quality is shocking. I rear is lowered on blocks and looks to be around 50mm! it feels like its bottoming out. I'm currently get prices on some koni adjustables to do a full 86 conversion with coil sleeves.
  8. I'm slowly gathering the parts for the 86 upgrade. The ke25 inserts are temporary only until i get all the upgrade parts, time to do the upgrade and most importantly finish my other project car so i can use it as a daily while the KE25 is off the road. hey styler, I'm assuming the rx7 boots are to fit the original ke25 inserts ? Are they brand specific as well or will the boots fit all inserts ? On the topic of 86 upgrade, what have people done in the past with the rears ? Do they convert the drums to disc and change to 4x114.3 ?

  10. Hi guys, I'm looking at replacing both front and rear shocks on my ke25 as they both seem to be dead - horrible ride. I'm planing on doing a AE86 swap in the future so I don't want to fork out heaps of cash on a set of shocks only to have to sell them off. Are Pedders or KYB AGX shocks any good. I'm assuming you can get them specifically for the Ke25 or will it be under a different Toyota model ? Also where can I get new dust boots ? The front shock boots have broken into a billion pieces!.   11. hi guys I was wondering if someone could tell me how to removal the inside door panel to get access to the inside of the door. I can't see any screws holding the panel to the door and before i go pulling on the panel and breaking it id like to get some advice. Cheers guys
  12. thanks guys. The original owner lowered the car on blocks and I don't think the shocks were replaced. It could be that the shocks are compressed almost to their limit or close to the bump stops. I reckon I need new shorter shocks to allow sufficient travel. I'm thinking about removing the lowering blocks and getting the leafs reset to give me the ride height I'm after. Block inserts seems a bit dodgy to me. What are your opinions? Cheers Steve
  13. G'day guys I picked up a Ke25 coupe not so long ago. This is my first car with leaf springs. The quality of the ride seems to be a bit poor especially at the rear, more so when driving over un-even / flat roads. It feels a bit spongey / bounces a bit. The rear seems to need some dampening. What's a good pair of shocks to replace whats in there at the moment. Cheers Steve
