  1. hi guys, How do you remove the chrome strip that runs along the windows ? I was going to try and slowly pry it but thought id ask first in case I break it.
  2. Is it going to be a daily car or a weekend car ? I gotta pull my finger out and get cracking on my ke25..
  3. your ke25 is looking sweet mate !
  4. so are you saying I should go with a k50 ?
  5. Hi gents, Need a bit of info. My ke25 currently has the 2speed Toyoglide auto. I've sourced a K40 manual and was wondering if the auto toyoglide propshaft will bolt up to the K40 ? or will I need a propshaft off a manual ? Thanks Steve
  6. I bought off them a few months back. Loop pile. Looks ok. Haven't installed it yet. I paid whatever the price is now on ebay. I also bought underlay for it.
  7. Thanks for the reply. I test fitted the wheels on the weekend. On the rear, the edge of the rim is flush with the rear guards but should work with stretched tyres (185 ??) and rolled lip. On the fronts, the inside of the wheel fouled the outer edge of the floating side of the brake caliper, needs a 10mm spacer to clear which will mean it will need flares, rolling it won't work. OR I can shave 10mm off the caliper, which "shouldn't" affect the performance by the looks of it.
  8. Hey guys, Just getting some thoughts from those with experience. Will 13x7 -1 offset wheels fit under the front and rear guards of the ke25 without lipping or flares and what tyres would I need ? Cheers Steve
  9. Hi guys, I'm looking into buying a AE82 twin cam hatch. It's the white one on carsales atm. The twin cam 16 sticker on the door is totally different from others I've seen. This one has a small twin cam 16 sticker on the rear doors where as the normal ones goes from the front door to the back door. Has this car been resprayed in the past and a new after market sticker put back on ? Cheers
  10. Liking your ae82 build thread Luke. good job on the resto mate. Good choice on the Caterham but they are a bit exxy. Plenty of other names out there that make the clubmans at cheaper prices.
  11. This is the guy I bought it off. I'm pretty sure all S2000 run obd2. http://www.izzeracing.com/Site/Honda_S2000_Air_Pump_Simulator.html The clubman is a pretty light car and getting traction at the rear wheels will be an issue. I'll be running 9" wide wheels so that should help a bit.
  12. Great build Dave and good choice in engine. I'm using the f20c in my clubman build. The airpump is not needed and as you have discovered it will throw a CEL code. as you know there is a small circuit board you can get that will trick the ecu into thinking the air pump is still there. I bought the circuit and its seems pretty easy to wire up but haven't done so yet as I'm still working on getting everything else finished on the clubman. Clearing the ecu with a scanner will not get rid of the check light. good luck with the build mate. It will be an awesome fun car with the f20 in it. Cheers Steve
  13. Hi guys, I'm new when it comes to leaf springs so before I go into a suspension shop I'd like to get an idea as to how much it would cost to get the springs reset and to add an extra leaf. Also I'm assuming that resetting the springs is basically setting the curve of it so that the car is lowered without having to use lowering blocks. My ke25 is currently sitting on blocks at the height I'm happy with. Can I just tell the shop I want it this high and they can work out how much to adjust the leafs accordingly ? Can someone recommend a shop in Sydney that is good to use ? Cheers Steve
  14. Thanks Styler. I'll keep this in mind. So far it looks like a ke35 booster with a 15/16" mc will work without changing anything else.
  15. Thanks heaps guys. Really appreciate your input. According to some of the old posts on this forum the ke25's have 11/16" master cylinders. I'll be sticking with the 5k motor for now but would like to upgrade the brakes since I'm fiddling with the AE86 front suspension and for future motor upgrade. Looks like the ke55 booster and 1" VN master is the way to go. I've read some thing about the rear drums brakes requiring residual pressure to work properly. Could someone explain why this is ? And would the ke55 booster and 1" mc still operate the rear drums?
