  3. hey guys, just thought I'd do a bit of promoting, haha. I'm quite fond of automotive photography and have been taking photos of the car scene in Adelaide for quite a few years. It is only now I have put them up, mainly for backup but also to show peeps, just for fun. Just check out SA Automotive Photography on facebook. Not looking for criticism or anything, just want to share the same passion as everyone else on here. :) Thanks.
  4. Hi, I am in need of Spark Plug Tubes/ O-rings for my '75 KE30, just a normal standard 3K engine. Whereabouts in Adelaide would I be able to find these parts? Thanks.
  5. Hey, nah I bought this about 2 years ago from a family friend, and for $200. Haha. It's all stock, no engine swap or anything. Glad you like the car.

  6. Ok sweet, thanks for that. Yeah I was thinking of only doing 2 inches. Thanks for the info.
  7. Thanks heaps for that. Wasn't too sure or aware of the rules and process with lowering blocks. I'm from Adelaide, do you know the laws for here because I've heard various responses?
  8. Hey, was just wondering if people know where to get lowering blocks from and also what is required for installation. Are they even legal?
  9. I just sent in my entry form today. The KE30 will definitely be there...Thanks for reminding me, haha. All the Rolla's that rock up should all meet up, whether it is West Beach or Birdwood. It'd be good to meet some members on here.
  10. I saw a blue KE30 4 Door on Port rd, near South rd intersection. I saw the car, the owner gave a thumbs up, as did I. Bless.
  11. Yep, the screwdriver worked great. Now, I have everything sorted, I just need to put the window back on the winding mechanism. Is there a trick to it at all?
  12. I've nearly taken off the door trim, but I just can't get the window winder off. How would you go about doing that? I'm trying the good ol rag trick, but I don't think it's working. Will keep trying though.
  13. So last night, I was driving home and I wanted to put the window down, then, it fell down and now I am unable to get it out. Any recommendations for what to do; can I do it myself repair? Been looking for a Gregory's manual for KE30 Corolla's but no luck. Any help would be great.
  14. Hey, my fuel gauge doesn't work, and was wondering where I would go to get it repaired? Is it easily repairable? Cost? Etc. Has anyone else experienced this problem with their Corolla?
  15. Hi guys, just wondering when the next rolla cruise is? Finally finished my Corolla, and keen to drive with other rolla's and meet some people from the site. Post up some ideas, or free dates and such.
  16. Also, suspension wise; I am thinking of installing new suspension, and was thinking of having it lowered a bit. What's the legal height for KE30 Corolla's, and how much does a lowered suspension cost? And I'm not doing the suspension myself, going to a workshop for that..
  17. I have a 1975 Toyota Corolla KE30 2 Door, and it's been off the road for about a year and a half. I'm about to re-register it, but I need to know a few things. I think I need my brakes replaced; what brakes do I get (size and such) and how much do they cost? When a car has been off the road for 18 months, do I need someone to check it, to make sure it's roadworthy? I was driving it fine before I stopped driving the car, just want to know what will/needs to be done? Thanks.
  18. Sorry guys but I've never done a burnout or anything like that and i don't want to start now, ha ha ha, thanks anyway for the idea....Maybe when Adelaide gets a racetrack, i'll do a burnout.....Cheers everyone..
  19. Hey, i was wondering what things should be done if your car hasn't been started in a few months. In about June, i parked the Corolla and i started it every week, however about a month and a half ago i had a operation and couldn't start the car cos i was bed ridden, so it hasn't been started since then..and since the cruising season is nearly here, i want to start driving it everywhere. I just want to know, what things should i do before i start driving or what i should look for before driving? Before i parked it i had just topped up the coolant and oil... Thanks, Dion
  20. Sorry if this has been said already, but what are the dates for this cruise? If it's the 23rd and 24th of Jan, then i'll be out. Murray Bridge Autofest!! hehehe..haven't missed one yet.. i am fairly interested, will just have to make sure the KE30 is up for it...
  21. I'm exactly the same as you. I'm on my P2's and i've never had a fine or anything. I'm too scared to go 5km/h over the speed limit cos knowing my luck there'd be a cop somewhere. haha. I've still never done a burnout in any car, which may come as a shock for a P plater, hehehe. My corolla is an absolute Nanna car; completely original, only 83,000k's, so there is no chance of modification or swapping the original 4 speed.. I drive a CB lancer GSR which I'm thinking of selling cos i want to drive my corolla around, and i'm only driving the Corolla to cruise in really. I just didn't know whether or not it'll make it through the hills, as i sometimes drive around with my friends through Windy Point and such, and the Lancer makes it with ease and i wasn't sure with the Corolla, as stated, it is pretty gutless, hahaa... Thankyou so much everyone for your advice. Now maybe i can go on a cruise without the fear of the Corolla dying through the hills or something..Thanks, Dion
  22. Hey everyone, i was just wondering, my '75 KE30 is completely standard and i was wondering if anyone else's is standard and if so whats the maximum you can go with the car. For example, will it make it for a drive through the hills or the Great Ocean Road cruise? Also, is there any chance of damaging the engine if you drive at around 100km/h? I've only taken it up to 80km/h and i felt bad cos the 4 speed just sounds like its revving high. Even though its probably on 3000rpm, i just don't know how hard or fast to drive it. I just feel bad for driving it at 80km/h?? Anyone else like this or am i just weird? Cheers, Dion
  23. Hey, i just bought a 1975 KE30 2 Door, and i have found a few things wrong with it, which i need to fix, and was wondering on price and where abouts to get them fixed... Firstly, the fuel gauge doesn't work, how much and where? The lights in my dash don't light up? Headlights and everything else works...again, how much and where? Any help would be great.. Thanks, Dion
