well did a compression test with one of our broken/ leaky testers cuz thats all i could find for now... all cylinders are reading fairly consistant compression... as for the actual compression who knows... i might say the #4 cylinder issue might be a faulty plug, wire, or distributor

o yeah forgot to mention ke30... ok so this is all answered... the #4 cylinder when unplugged doesnt make much of a difference and i have done this check a while back... the noise and all i think its time to get a new motor.... maybe this one is shot. its got great lowend but anything after 3.5k ish rpm then it just becomes a rattling noise maker that goes absolutly nowhere thanks for all the info guys... looks like i will be saving up for a set of pistons or contacting BRD racing

hmmm benchmark.. my prelude ran a 16.1 in the quater miles... and that was plenty quick enough for what i was doing with it i have a slight knocking noise within the motor... put thicker oil in it toi help i believe it might be a rod... :/. but i have seen many fix these motors up and do some amazing things with em. but my car is about 35k rpms at 70mph or 113kph also the engine vibrates much more then any other cars i have owned... would a rod knock throw the engine off balance?

Hey me agian... I'm in the USA like i have stated befor... not much info out there for my car nor parts... have a JW 1. Is the 4age tranny the same as the 3tc trannies? (need to rebuild my shifter) 2. My 3tc/ 5speed feels extremely sluggish for what is done to it... it has a Weber carb, mild cam, full exhaust w/header... or am i just blessed with a slow engine? The rx7 rearend might be geared improperly? 3. Will ae86 struts up front fit my 79 chasis? Jw because site will sell stuff claiming it will fit a 79 corolla but not a 78 chasis... i thought they were identical answer these and my life will be complete ;) :D

no not really... damn o and americans like to just dawg your shit just because its not their taste in tuning... all the honda guys loved the lude as soon as i sold it my idol position dropped and they said the toyota was the gayest thing ever right next to the miata... no car really is that clean... and my budy is really good with his camera. Its hondas championship white... and those wheels are off a mkII supra... i brushed a curb today parking :D. i was in a hurry

haha... man i think i will go take a look at it... its got an rx7 turbo rear end... i will look... i just threw the blocks in didnt take much time checking if it was super straight. but yes it is leaf sprung. It might be a good time to beef up the shackles while I'm at it. Thanks guys. btw i will get some updated picks of the car for ya guys.

so it rained... went out and did a good donut on the way home... yaya sweet fun... i get looking... my offset is off... no actually my rear end has shifted over a bit!... is this bad? do i need to invest in some panhard/lateral bars?

sounds like an overheating problem... are you keeping an eye on the engine temp?

hmmm well I'm currently in school and paying for every semester... i have been looking at other wheels and setups... i want to make all the parts that count functional... so as for wheels i plan on getting rid of some unsprung weight i had in mind some bassett racing steelies or diamond racing in 13" with some overly wide tires beides the basics for now coilovers on the front, a more sport tuned sounding exhaust, mkII front duckbill, buckets, spoiler, bolt-on fender flares, strut tower bar, tierods... anything i am missing that is more important? this 3tc feels soo sluggish... is that cuz its just a 3tc? o and jip i will get you a close up on the mirror... if you pay for shipping you can have it :D. you just gotta wait till i find some replacements

o yes door mirror is going... the car isnt perfect. i plan on building a DD that can attack the track no problem as i did with the prelude. the 3tc has a bigger carb, mild cam, and full exhaust. its still extremely slow :\... it has a 1st gen rx7 lsd rear end as for mirrors chrome or black... or goofy lookin oem ones... haha its all soo new to me!

Hey guys... i am Dennis i live in the states... i adopted this great condition ke30 with a 3tc swap after i sold my ery amazing prelude to pay for school... $2500 for her drove 400+ miles to get her worth every ounce of gas i love this car... almost more then the prelude :D this is a few pics of the whip when i just got her... shes been lowered don't worry. Few questions fender mount mirrors? yes no? any one wanna trade for some chromed supra/celica wheels? heres the prelude i had ;)
