  1. Bigport 4age and t50.

BC AE86 coil overs are cheap

    T series LSD Diff.

    BAMMM SUCKER

I suggest starting with a manual AE71 rather than a KE70. the 4age will drop straight in as they already have T50 gearbox and A series engine mounts.

or just head over to www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums and buy a set up car

  2. if you were going to that extent i think a BEAMS 3SGE would be the better option.

and in response to CA being crap and blowing headgaskets..... nissan make bad final products not at all reliable (compared to toyota, pretty good compared to a holden or daewoo) but they can be easily revised and improved. not hard to put an aftermarket head gasket in now is it?

  3. just because an engine fits in the engine bay, DOES NOT mean it fits properly.

without big modifications it will be 2 cylinders further forward than the 4 cylinder they came with.

for a blingtastic style drag racer/burnout car that wouldn't be a problem but if you want a car that actually drives properly then it certainly will.

as redwarf said 18RG are old technology, if you want to go that route just go the 3SG, being a newer engine they have a lot more aftermarket support.

  4. so what made you decide to go with a 1gg? ke70 are even better than ae86 in the curb weight and weight distribution department. fitting a big heavy 6 and heavy gearbox in there is only going to ruin this characteristic.

What Purpose is the car going to serve? judging by your avatar i would say drifting so you will find your car is virtually impossible to turn in with that weight over the front wheels.

when it comes down to the conversion more is needed than you may think...

Diff, Gearbox, Tail Shaft, Engine Mounts, radiator, thermo fans AND

Giant hole in firewall/gearbox tunnel(if you hope to retain any of those weight characteristics that make ke70s and ae86s good)

they were never intended to take these engines so most parts will be custom jobs (putting new mounts on F series Diffs custom gearbox cross member etc)

best bet is a 4AGE, simple but effective. it isn't necessary in such light cars but if you really want more torque and power a 3SGE or 3SGTE would be the way to go although it would be as much work as the 1g to get running it would have a nicer weight balance without cutting too much out of your firewall.

  5. its been said before, generally every time one of these threads pops up but if you need to ask it probably exceeds your skills.

    a basic list of parts

    SR20 and 5 speed

    AE71 Pedal Box.

    F Series/R31 etc etc Diff

    Custom Engine Mounts

    Custom Tail Shaft

Bigger Radiator with decent thermo fans.

(I'm sure there is a lot more as i'm no expert)

Wiring it up shouldn't be much of an issue, just use stock loom/ecu to begin with then upgrade to a tunable ecu if you feel the need.

as well as the parts associated with the engine and conversion you are also going to want

bigger brakes and better/stiffer suspension (its possible to use s13 struts and brakes but this will throw off your suspension/steering geometry somewhat) probably best to speak to someone like A J P S about cororra sussy.

a 4age is a much easier conversion as you can just use most of the parts from an ae71 or ae86 and it will still have plenty of poke but if you are definite on going with the sr20 prepare to spend a fair bit of $$$

  6. yeah does say adelaide in thrad body.

may help your sale a bit but

how much you after without the stezza/bodykit and wheels.

would you sell those bits separately and how much would you be after for them.

  7. you're right stockies are fail, poor offset = no stance. will be great with mk3s all polished and back on

if you do end up selling i may be interested but it will cop the bolt ons and fender mirrors
