spotted a couple *E7*'s up flagstaff hill area last night. i was in red ae86 with black bonnet, thumbs were given.
  2. my opinion is you should try using photoshop.
  3. car is going to be tough with 2TG but please tell me you are changing the wheels. how can you be JDM as f@$k with wheels like that? they make me want to vomit.
  4. Bigport 4age and t50. BC AE86 coil overs are cheap T series LSD Diff. BAMMM SUCKER I suggest starting with a manual AE71 rather than a KE70. the 4age will drop straight in as they already have T50 gearbox and A series engine mounts. or just head over to www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums and buy a set up car
  5. best sound would be a highly built 2TG on quad carbs (ie FCR) 20v 4AGE on open itbs would be the next best thing.
  6. if you were going to that extent i think a BEAMS 3SGE would be the better option. and in response to CA being crap and blowing headgaskets..... nissan make bad final products not at all reliable (compared to toyota, pretty good compared to a holden or daewoo) but they can be easily revised and improved. not hard to put an aftermarket head gasket in now is it?
  7. possibly a yellow ke20 in friday the 13th
  8. yeah as been said sell the 5litre and buy a nicer engine that doesn't have push rods. just because you have X engine does not mean you should put it in Y car.
  9. in an AE71 corolla yes. but you will definitely want a better diff.
  10. just because an engine fits in the engine bay, DOES NOT mean it fits properly. without big modifications it will be 2 cylinders further forward than the 4 cylinder they came with. for a blingtastic style drag racer/burnout car that wouldn't be a problem but if you want a car that actually drives properly then it certainly will. as redwarf said 18RG are old technology, if you want to go that route just go the 3SG, being a newer engine they have a lot more aftermarket support.
  11. well 7mge is a dohc l6, which is the wrong direction for a an e7. yes 18rg are alright.. 2.0 litre dohc 8 Valve L4, however they were replaced by the 3SG engines which are 2.0 16v DOHC L4.
  12. go 4age, you wont regret it. easy to install just use ae71 parts and a Jap AE86 LSD.
  13. just as big, just as heavy, if not more so.
  14. so what made you decide to go with a 1gg? ke70 are even better than ae86 in the curb weight and weight distribution department. fitting a big heavy 6 and heavy gearbox in there is only going to ruin this characteristic. What Purpose is the car going to serve? judging by your avatar i would say drifting so you will find your car is virtually impossible to turn in with that weight over the front wheels. when it comes down to the conversion more is needed than you may think... Diff, Gearbox, Tail Shaft, Engine Mounts, radiator, thermo fans AND Giant hole in firewall/gearbox tunnel(if you hope to retain any of those weight characteristics that make ke70s and ae86s good) they were never intended to take these engines so most parts will be custom jobs (putting new mounts on F series Diffs custom gearbox cross member etc) best bet is a 4AGE, simple but effective. it isn't necessary in such light cars but if you really want more torque and power a 3SGE or 3SGTE would be the way to go although it would be as much work as the 1g to get running it would have a nicer weight balance without cutting too much out of your firewall.
  15. it does look pretty clean but 15k is a bit of a joke. for 15k i could build this
