  1. My ke11 3k has a Ivan tighe 140 in it. Pretty damn lumpy... sounds tops at idle and goes great to 8krpm :) it is a built motor though. Do what makes you happy eh..
  2. for anyone interested the guy let me borrow one to test fit. And it fitted just fine!! pics
  3. He does have a set of tyres to suit but they are nexen somethings. Ill most definitly be going a semi slick so wont need them. They are genuine superlites hence why i thought they were too cheap. But he said he got them in for someone and they never came and got them and being an odd size they are a bit hard to sell which does make sense to some degree.
  4. Hey guys, Ive stumbled across what i think is a good deal. 13' 175 wide tyre (what i was after) superlite wheels. They guy wants $440.00 for them and they are brand new. He has 2 sets in bronze and silver. i currently have 12' 165s on it at the moment. What offset should i be looking at? Anyone forsee any issues with this? Is this a good deal... being brand new and all? What colour do you guys think would suit my white with blacked out bits coloured ke11? cheers car pics in this thread any one good at photoshoppn? http://www.rollaclub.com/board/index.php?s...c=12988&hl=
  5. yeah ill be making some when i get the time. My subaru has the motor and box out at the moment and it seems to be taking up most of my time! So it may be a while to begin the strut tops but ill get there sooner or later...
  6. Hey guys, I know its a long shot but would anyone here have made a set of adjustable strut tops for their ke10/11 rollas? If so does anyone have any cad files or plans however rough they may be? Pics would also be useful. Also plans for a home made adjustable strut brace would also go down well! or pics etc If not i guess ill be undertaking this myself and when done ill post the plans etc. cheers
  7. No replies plenty of reading! for what its worth i have answered a few questions myself. The repco pitman arm is the same fits like a glove and retails for AUD$92.00. And it is the same for ke10/11 models :) Havent sorted out if i can get a new transverse leaf but it will be done shortly Adjustment of sector gear i did by feel. Basically set the sector at the centre then would test the outer limits for binding from lock to lock if it did bind in the centre id knock the adjustment up a bit till it had no binding. Worked a treat. I used a SAE80W oil in the steering box as instructed by a few supension/steering places. I also have heard that you can use a grease/steering lube. Whiteline sway bar kits come with all the goods to mount the bars and have end links aswell. can't get the bar in adjustable unfortunately. Also... FULCRUM do front suspension bushes for where the control arms join, rear leaf spring bushes, and idler arm bushes. Cheers
  8. Hey guys, Just wondering if the pitman arm that repco stock for the ke10 is the same as for the ke11. I ask as there are differences i believe in other steering components in the models whether they are coarse/fine thread etc (Tie rods etc). Also does anyone know where to buy a new front leave spring? The one that runs laterally across the front. And when adjusting the sector gear on the worm drive in the steering box. Should it run smooth from lock to lock or ever so slightly be tight at the centre? I notice that the sector gear adjustment moves it up and down on the worm. And with it too far down it binds when going over the centre position. What gear oil do you guys use in the steering box? The stuff that came out of mine was like redline gearbox oil!! One last q.... i know whiteline sells sway bars front and rear for the ke10/11s but does it come as a full kit with mounts etc aswell or is it just the bar and you have to sort your own way of mounting it? Cheers
  9. Well funny story that.... i went and bought Barrys car probably 5 to 6 years ago now.... i drove to my 1st day at work (electronics tech) and i meet James Pitt... Barrys son. Jimmy goes hey my dads car is here why did he come to see me. I'm like thats my new car are you Barrys son. Hes like yeah... haha so very small world... I had it for about 4 months when 3 bolts in the front strut where it joins the knuckle had broken.... No idea how this happend but at 100km/h and having to brake heavily the strut slipped out of the knunckle in doing so let the wheel crunch the drivers side guard!! so i basically had to drag the car off the road. No real damaged other than the front guard and the 3 bolts in the strut (THANK GOD). This then turned into the labour of love that you now see before you. I had to source new guards found a new bonnet as i was never happy with it even barry had probs with it cracking the paint in the middle where the hump is no idea why although the previous bonnet had been pannel beaten a fair bit. I rewired alot of it. Added braided lines for the front brakes etc and heaps of other finishig off work that the car deserved (motor etc). I just chugged along fixing all the things i wanted to change on the car. So the car from when he rebuilt it has only done about 3000 miles in 5 to 6 years LOL. I intend to make it get around so more. But still keep her origydig for the old owner. i regulary have chats with him and son informing of how the old girl is still going. He wanted to see it on the race track and i know he attends to go to this years historic meet in august/june at queensland raceway... he may just get a suprise seeing the old beasty on the track.
  10. I had the pistions made custom made by ACL i think it was ill dig up the reciept it was ages ago i got the motor built. And the double valve springs were from a 1600 rally car. I might have a reciept for it to. ill go for a hunt in the shed and get back to you. EDIT** i will get it next week as car is still in brisbane along with notes!! and i have moved to toowoomba!! car is moving up shortly.
  11. Hey guys, Finally finished doing up my little ke11 Sl. I think it came out pretty damn nicely. Has roll cage, ke30 discs (split system brakes), rx7 front strut inserts 12' wheels (buying some 13 or 14' superlites) Motor is a full house 3k. Has a huge cam, bigport head (not ported), twin 40mm webbers blueprint and balanced bottom end, datsun double valves springs, stainless valves, forged pistons, forged rods, revs to 10000rpm makes power at 4500rpm. 3 core rad re trimmed interior, heaps more but i don't have the list infront of me but its basically a full rebuild. The car was built for historic group n but probably wil only see sprints and regularity came out to good to crash or get crashed into. pics of the car i have when doing the final touches. don't have any more pics yet but will have soon. enjoy...... http://img182.imageshack.us/my.php?image=ke1105qm5.jpg http://img245.imageshack.us/my.php?image=forsale005sg5.jpg http://img245.imageshack.us/my.php?image=forsale003ma6.jpg http://img183.imageshack.us/my.php?image=grantke11fo4.jpg Interior Crappy shot but u get the drift http://img72.imageshack.us/my.php?image=svi0066ot8.jpg
