psyder Posted February 4, 2007 Report Posted February 4, 2007 (edited) Hi everybody , 1st time poster so if i've messed up the topic .. don't blame the newbie :P Ok , got a 1981 KE70 , i'll post some pictures of the project as soon as it really kicks off .. hopefully. I mounted new tired and rims on the car (just to see if it fits) , i've got no engine in it (need some parts) . 205/60 15" , on the rear side everything was ok , tried it with people on the rear seat to see it won't scratch be anything . Also on the font , the side suspension almost makes contact the with the tyre , nonetheless it's working , question is , if i'll put the engine in will the tyre then make contact with the suspension ? And if so , will 185's or 195's do the right job ? Another thing , i've seen that some KE70's have lights in the radiator grill (example @ doktor ,1st picture), is that custom made ? And if so , the radiator is custom made too or is the stock grill modified ? Thanks a bunch Here's a little picture , keep in mind , the car's been in a garage since 1999 , until last summer it laid there untouched , loooong story.I'll be taking some pieces of a RA60 Celica Edited February 4, 2007 by psyder Quote
JiP Posted February 4, 2007 Report Posted February 4, 2007 Hey, welcome to the club. Not sure if i can help but would you have any pictures or links of the "Lights and grilles" that you are talking about?? It might help everyone understand what you are wanting to know. Jon. Quote
7shades Posted February 5, 2007 Report Posted February 5, 2007 Click the link JiP I think those lights are just aftermarket spotlights with holes cut in the grille. I've never seen thaem as factory fitment. I had round ones in my old ke70 wagon in the same place and I didn't need to modify anything, there's a fair bit of room between the grille and the radiator. Unless you have airconditioning... Quote
