Ok, i'm currently still in the middle of stripping the car but i think its time to think about body rubbers. That way i have the gear here when i want to put it back together.

Rare spares will do a complete kit (only missing front 1/4 vent seals) for $560. A business in Thailand will do all the body rubbers but no 1/4 vent seal, door belts or bailey channel etc for about $200 delivered. I would then have to buy bailey channel and door belts through rare spares.

My problem is this, some of the rare spares kit seems to be universal while the thai kit seems to be all moulded. Do i go moulded over universal, is moulded that much better and do i have the hassle of my stuff possibly going missing during freight from Thailand?

Has anyone here bought through rare spares or the thai seller on ebay? If so can you post up and let me know of the quality and ease of fitment of the two. Any help is much appreciated

My brother brought a full kit for his uc hatchback and I'm pretty sure the door and hatch seals were moulded but all his others were universal (cut down yourself), It comes down to personal preference.

Yeah i'd also be interested in knowing people's thoughts on this, I would like to replace the rubbers on my rolla in the future also, and any feedback people could give would be really helpful - perhaps this post could be moved into 'General Mechanical' rather than specifically KExx thread?

My girlfriend's brother put rubbers all round on his Holden HX Premier and they bulged a little so it was quite hard to shut doors/bonnet etc for a while, I guess this is just part of wearing them in?

Hi guys, my KE30 has complete new body rubbers throughout from Spectrum rubber in NSW. all door rubbers were moulded, and fit nicely. Outside window seals on the passenger doors were universal and had to be trimmed. Unfortunately the clown who trimmed mine trimmed them too short... this needs to be monitored and measured carefully when fitting, possibly having a good look at the old ones to ensure they fit nicely. The whole kit with everything was $675.
