Heh, yes it is rather isn't it?

TB end: it looks like your cable sleeve is threaded (on the right side of the photo)? Or am I looking at the wrong thing?

Firewall: Is that end threaded as well Against a washer?

Pedal: Did you drill a hole in the pedal to put the bolt through?

answers :

- no. its a little attachment you can get from weber dealers... its a long bolt with a slot for your cable end and it is hollow (so the cable can go thru) - the threaded part is where you can adjust the sheath tension (see pic)

- same as the above. i made a small alloy plate that i bolted behind the firewall so it would fit (the factory hole is too big)

- no there was already a hole there but you are on the right track there

i need to change a few things to put the other accel cable in (its supposed to be a twin cable setup) but its low on the list!

looks much like the way the cables are normally setup on a pushbike.

how stiff is your acelerator pedal with the 2 big springs? are there also return springs on the carbs themselves?

Ok... Last time I was at the bike shop there had several different type ends on their cables. The TB end is quite straightforward, any particular sort of end I should be looking for the pedal end?
