Well some of u may know me, i drive the black ke55.

 

I have decided to buy a couple of toys lately.

First i got the yellow ke71. It has a tired 4k n 5 speed. Started to pull it apart and slowley fix it all up.

Then 3 weeks later this red one comes up for sale. So i decided to get this one aswell(make 1 good out of 2)

Well upon closer inspection of the red one it is pretty faultless(apart from being a auto)

There are only two spots of rust in the entire car(red car) where as the yellow car has got a bit of rust.

So i am turning the red one in to a 5 speed. and taking what i need off the yellow one and then getting rid of it.(yellow car)

 

So i have just got back from gladstone yesterday and since i have a RDO today i decided to start doing some stuff on the red one.

I have only just finished changing the pedal box over, swapped drivers seats, gave the bonnet a little bit of a polish and it came up a million times better,I will buff it when i finish swapping gearboxes)

 

Now i also have a question on the auto diff ratios. how much difference is there between an auto and a manual ratio?

My auto Ke70 had a 4.3 in it and my manual ae71 wagon had a 3.89.

 

Borg warners have a little id tag on the rear of the diff, Take a can of degreaser, Wipe the crud off and it will tell you what ratio it is.

That was another reason i bought the car...hahaha am thinking of putting a single roof rack with a flashing orange light on her aswell :D

Quick update.

5 Speed is in. Changed all that needed to be changed over today.

 

Next week is the 15" 5 spoke mags i had on my 55 going on.

Then rego. Then lowered :D

 

Anybody know where i can get some aftermarket rails(seats) from??

I bought my seats from repco (Autotecnica) and they were nice, Bought rails aswell for 60 each then realised i didnt need them so i took them back. The seats i had bolted to ke70 rails with no mods.
