Hey all

Just a question about valve springs in K motors, (could be in other motors as well)

I have seen some valve springs which look like '2' springs intertwined into one, is this just a cheap way to make valve springs extra strong ? or is there some sort of other explanation for this?

Thank you in advance :P

Teddy, valve springs should also be matched to the camshaft as well. Sometimes double valve springs are the answer to prevent valve bounce, alhough on mine I have single valve springs from a hot holden 202 blue motor (apparently).

Don't ask me how they come to this answer, someone with a bit more technical knowledge than myself (Doug?) maybe able to answer this. I've seen the equation, but that's about it...

Hope this helps....
