Azza666 Posted July 2, 2007 Report Posted July 2, 2007 ok if i had a 5k and pulled the head off to do some porting /valve springs and didnt want to machine it because i don't want to raise the commpresion ratio what so ever do i a) clean the head surface where it hits the head gasket then cheack it for warpage using a straight edge and fealer gauges hoping that its not warped or b) face the fact that i has to be machined there for raising to commpresion ratio c) get it machined and don't wory because the rise in compression would possibly be miniscule? thanks guys Quote
Azza666 Posted July 2, 2007 Author Report Posted July 2, 2007 well the point is i might be ably to get a sigma blowthrough turbo and carb witch i will adapt but if it will bearly go up then shoud be fine on 6 psi A Quote
Taz_Rx Posted July 2, 2007 Report Posted July 2, 2007 Mate option C, definately. Its not worth pulling a head off and NOT machining it IMHO. Uless the head has only been used for like a week prior to removal. It'll be fine for like 15+psi, not just 6psi!!! :no2: As long as you have the fuel system to support higher boost. PS, I am getting to replying to your PM's. :lolcry: Quote
