Twin Carbs

I recently brought a worked 4k from a rally car over here in the UK i have va full engine spec which reads very well with some good parts being used. Now i have already modified one 4-2-1 exhaust manifold to fit the KP30 and i'm part was through making a manifold for some bike carbs when i brought this engine.

 

I don't really want to run the twin 40's as it will mean uprighting and that mean quite a bit of work in a KP30.

 

What i'd like to know is this looks to me like a copy of TRD setup and if i were to sell what would the carbs both manifolds and adapter plat be worth?

 

what i really need is a nice corolla to put them on :yes: but over here there ain't many left :yes:

Hi,

That setup would be worth a fair bit as it is all ready tunned etc for a K motor.

 

But the other week in AU$ I paid $200AU for a stock K-B carby setup. So these twins I imagine would be worth more than that so that might help.

The going rate over here is about A$400 - $500. You can can cheaper if you look, but not often. This comes in at about GBP150 - 200. It helps when they're a "matched" pair. Have a look on the tops of the carbs for the model, it should say something like 40 DCOE 29, and the serial numbers should be within a couple of thousand of each other.
