demuire Posted September 16, 2004 Report Posted September 16, 2004 This, also, appears to be a big seller in Malaysia... A device called a "MicroCompressor" that basically plugs into one of the PCV valves on your engine, and bleeds air in to give you "more power and better fuel economy". Basically it appears to lean your mixtures out... A "review" of MicroCompressor Quote
irokin Posted September 17, 2004 Report Posted September 17, 2004 humm...sounds a little too dodgy for my liking.... your probably better off going down to jaycar and getting one of those ECU signal modifers... Quote
demuire Posted September 17, 2004 Author Report Posted September 17, 2004 ECU signal modifiers? Quote
Felix Posted September 17, 2004 Report Posted September 17, 2004 now thats pretty cool: Digital Fuel Adjuster Hand Controller for Digital Adjusters Quote
irokin Posted September 17, 2004 Report Posted September 17, 2004 :P Is basically an Apexi SAFC + hand controller.. they also make injector controllers....which I'm going to use for my turbine jet engine project....phun! Quote
demuire Posted September 17, 2004 Author Report Posted September 17, 2004 That is very, very, very COOL. Hmm... *rubs chin* :P I would assume it goes between say your MAP sensor and the ECU and alters the signals? I wonder how much the signal from the EGO affects the 4A computer? Interesting... Quote
Felix Posted September 17, 2004 Report Posted September 17, 2004 I wonder how much the signal from the EGO affects the 4A computer? get yourself a Digital Fuel Mixture Display Kit and watch what your mixtures do. i have one of these in my car now for carb tuning, although the DSE version. it is very good. demuire Posted September 17, 2004 Author Report Posted September 17, 2004 (edited) I've already got one of those 10-LED ones from Jaycar, I don't know how accurate it is but I suppose I can tell roughly what my mixtures are like. I'm more wondering how much the signal from the EGO affects what the computer decides to do. I'm guessing the computer would control fuel mixtures mostly from what the MAP sensor says? Esp since the EGO sensor is basically useless until it comes up to operating temperature? No idea... Edited September 17, 2004 by demuire Quote
Felix Posted September 17, 2004 Report Posted September 17, 2004 yes, ideally you want wideband. how much is that going to cost you? :P Quote
Felix Posted September 17, 2004 Report Posted September 17, 2004 (edited) $350 just for a sensor Oz DIY Wideband Meter Edited September 17, 2004 by Felix Quote
