wasfishing Posted December 5, 2006 Report Posted December 5, 2006 hey just had a thought would this work??? If u removed the line commin OFF the abv and instead of it venting it went to a BOV would it make a sound would it work do u think?
ancullen Posted December 5, 2006 Report Posted December 5, 2006 Wouldn't really know, but why the fork do you want to have blow-off valve noise? One of the cool things about having a 4A-GZE is having a stealth forced induction setup. You've got boost, but it still sounds like a naturally aspirated motor.
Ella Posted December 6, 2006 Author Report Posted December 6, 2006 (edited) adams right don't be a f@$ken ricer bro :P Edited December 6, 2006 by Ella
wasfishing Posted December 6, 2006 Report Posted December 6, 2006 How would a CT9 turbo go on a gze or maybe 2??? There off a starlet.
ancullen Posted December 7, 2006 Report Posted December 7, 2006 Surely they'd be too small, as they're designed for a 1.3L engine. And getting two fitted would be WAY too expensive. In fact, you'd be better off buying a $200 eBay turbo manifold and getting a good secondhand T28 from a Silvia. And giving me your supercharger for nothing.
wasfishing Posted December 7, 2006 Report Posted December 7, 2006 Ha how about no, i want a bigger pulley so bad. Umm whats the difference with the SC14 is it just a bigger one with bigger capabilitys?
Ella Posted December 7, 2006 Author Report Posted December 7, 2006 hrmm looks like I'm doing a deal to get rid of the rolla at a stupid cheap price... so there fore i wont be back as much but ill still say hi regularly enough. maybe a little more often once my long term plan comes to fruition and i get me another toyota (no more f@$ken corolla tho, a little bigger and Twin turbo)
ancullen Posted December 7, 2006 Report Posted December 7, 2006 The SC14 does not just bolt on. In fact, you need adaptor brackets and stuff, plus I think you've got to change piping. Ella - may I ask how much you're getting rid of the Corolla for? Less than $600? As for the twin-turbo Toyota plans, do I take it you're serious about getting an Aristo/GS300 one day?
Ella Posted December 8, 2006 Author Report Posted December 8, 2006 it hasnt sold yet I'm still open to offers, so far the only thing this guy has dibs on is the gearbox... but he is coming down tomorrow to have a look and try strike a deal and he has a few things i want that hes not using including a thousand dollar ingersoll rand compressor lol if anyone had the time to seam weld along the rear bit where its a little funny and replace the rear left suspension its drive well enough to be a good track car. in fact thats what I'm going to do if i don't get a buyer
ancullen Posted December 9, 2006 Report Posted December 9, 2006 (edited) I could probably scrape together $300 for it. Damn eBay's been taking all my money for me. :P Edited December 9, 2006 by ancullen
ancullen Posted December 11, 2006 Report Posted December 11, 2006 As mentioned previously, I've now got 440cc 7M-GTE injectors. I did also bid on a second hand Toda flywheel (3.7kg), but didn't go higher than about $350 as I found I could get a brand new 3.6kg Xtreme flywheel for just $450, so I may as well wait until I can actually afford one to buy one. I'm also eyeing off a set of big valves, Toda valve springs, 0.5mm TRD head gasket, and Tein camber tops. I'm also now looking at some Starlet stuff as there is apparently going to be a six round motorkhana championship next year. BTW, if anyone's interested in a motorkhana, we're going to have a very small one out at Hughes on Saturday the 23rd of December.
wasfishing Posted December 11, 2006 Report Posted December 11, 2006 NOOO don't do it. i wana come but will not be ready.
