ancullen Posted September 5, 2007 Report Posted September 5, 2007 I'm looking at rear discs right now - I'm trying to find something to match the AE82 DOHC rear disc height so there shouldn't be issues with mounting. As for changing the text under your avatar - go into your 'My Controls', go into 'Profile Information' in the left hand menu, then change your 'Custom Member Title'.
ancullen Posted September 5, 2007 Report Posted September 5, 2007 http://www.rollaclub.com/board/index.php?a...rCP&CODE=01 Bitch. You beat me to the punch. :D
Pure-SX Posted September 5, 2007 Report Posted September 5, 2007 jeez Adam is quite aggresive you can tell he is having car problems :D BTW still dissapointed you didnt come in GT4 you still owe me a drive in it(YOU WILL BE DRIVING) :(
ancullen Posted September 5, 2007 Report Posted September 5, 2007 I know - I'd planned on stopping by your place in it on the way home tonight - that plan's been f@$ked in the arse now. :D As for the rear discs, I think the best option will be to use AE82 DOHC front discs on the rear. The calipers should be fine with the difference in thickness. The other alternative would be MX5 front discs (NA or NB 1.8L version). They're a better diameter than the AE82 front discs, share the same centre hole size as the AE82, and share the same thickness as the RX7 discs. The only issue with either disc is the depth. The AE82 rear discs are 37mm, the AE82 front discs are 48mm, and the MX5 are 45mm. I'd go with the MX5 discs. If the stud pattern is the same as the AE82 it'd be even better - they're both four stud, but I think MX5's may be 4x114.3 vs. the AE82's 4x100. If that's the case, you'll just have to order blanks and get them drilled.
gemzu Posted September 5, 2007 Report Posted September 5, 2007 http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Toyota-Corolla-GTi-...1QQcmdZViewItem
ancullen Posted September 5, 2007 Report Posted September 5, 2007 $6,100 and the reserve's not met??? I wonder how much the seller thinks he'll get???
Pure-SX Posted September 5, 2007 Report Posted September 5, 2007 Why you would ebay a car like that is beyond me, it would fetch quite abit more then that if sold by other avenues. 235fwkw? that would be f@$king scary to drive lol. What to do about brakes I am not sure, putting rx7 calipers up front with bigger corolla disks and having stock disks on rear would surely cause problems.
ancullen Posted September 5, 2007 Report Posted September 5, 2007 I still say RX7 calipers all around. I can get rear calipers for roughly $120 a pair, delivered.
wasfishing Posted September 5, 2007 Report Posted September 5, 2007 put the stock front discs on the rear with sw20T rear calipers simple and its not fun taesing someone wen there not at there desk!!1!1!one1!1!1!
ancullen Posted September 5, 2007 Report Posted September 5, 2007 SW20 Turbo calipers. Are they twin or single piston? That'd probably be a damn good option actually. And one hell of a braking setup!!!
wasfishing Posted September 5, 2007 Report Posted September 5, 2007 my setup st185 front end, my front disc on rear with sw20T rear calipers I LIKE SEXY TIME
ancullen Posted September 5, 2007 Report Posted September 5, 2007 But you didn't say what SW20T calipers are like. And the problem is with the disc thickness, not the calipers. The solution may be to a rear disc setup off a later model Corolla or something.
Pure-SX Posted September 5, 2007 Report Posted September 5, 2007 Already decided on front end set up ae93 corolla front disks with rx7 series 4 4pot calipers Not yet sure on the rear me and Adam are still discussing it
Pure-SX Posted September 5, 2007 Report Posted September 5, 2007 With the corolla rear disk set up on DBA states the same part number for like all corollas for the rear
