ancullen Posted October 19, 2007 Report Posted October 19, 2007 LOL! That happened to my Mum earlier this year too, although I don't think she actually died on the table. Came pretty close though, and lost five litres of blood because the surgeon nicked an artery. What was meant to be keyhole surgery resulting in a scar about 10mm long became the surgeon opening her right up with a cut from her chest down about 250mm long. And then she found out a few months later that the procedure she'd had hadn't been done properly (aside from the nicked artery) and she had to have further surgery while in Brisbane. She almost died down there as a result of the f@$k up. She's all good now though, thanks to the Brisbane doctors.
Pure-SX Posted October 19, 2007 Report Posted October 19, 2007 Ohh another beautiful moment for the local hospitals, I misread your post gregor, I thought you said your mother passed away. Good to hear she it still alive and kicking
ancullen Posted October 19, 2007 Report Posted October 19, 2007 He did say she passed away. But she was revived. Let's all have a 'hoo-ray' for Darwin hospitals. What? No takers??? :lolcry:

She went in for a 20min keyhole surgery on her knee, she was pretty surprised when she woke up a day later. I'm not sure I can handle anymore stress this week, I want a boring life. Thanks Stephen for the phone number.
