as the hill climb gets closer its time to pull my finger out.

 

BUT i have this diff i got with another car. but i have no idea what it is!!!

 

its a jap style. (ie have to remove tail shaft to unbolt and remove centre).

 

 

will i find an LSD for it cheaply??? or do i need to invest in axels and CIG the centre???

could be a jap spec t series seeing it is a banjo front loader, has discs and coil sprung with link setup.

Need more clear pictures.

the camera in my phone is now f---ed but need to build new race car so it has to do till thats finished...

Take the center out and count the teeth on the crown wheel and pinion and divide them together and you will get the ratio.

 

Also look to see if its and LSD, Look for clutches as they seem to be popular.

well i pulled the axels out tonight.

 

they have 23 teeth on the spline.

 

the axel bearings are about 2 inches long and the centre is open.

 

the ring gear is roughly 4.11 well more than 4 turns but less than 4.5 but not too worried about that.

 

just after what type of axles type i have so i can chase up an LSD center for it

How many inches is the ring gear?

the ring gear measures 6.5"

 

after searching a international spoonta site i found a sit that broke down (with pictures) the ae86 disc rear end...

 

i have found i have Zenki axels
