hey was just wondering what brake master cylinders i could upgrade mine to. i'm part of the way through installing the hoppers stoppers 285mm twin piston brake kit. when i ordered the kit they reccomended that i use a 1inch bore master to obtain correct pedal feel. so i purchased said universal 1 inch bore master. only problem is my ca18det doesnt appear to have left much room and i am doubtfull it will fit. i would like to avoid remaking my mounts and lowering and moving the motor just to fit this master. it is a slightly bulky item so i was just curious if it doesnt fit what other masters people are running? what bore sizes they are and if they had to make any modifications to fit them? feedback would be greatly appreciated.

s6 rx7 master cylinder. 15/16" with remote reservoirs

I used a 1 inch hilux one, but had to make an adaptor (about 25mm thick) as the bolts are 90 degrees out. Pretty easy to do. Used the standard rod too. This is with hilux /pug.corona strut conversion on my KE25 (TE27 lookalike). Most hilux ones are 15/16', from my browsing around.

 

Hooked it up to a remote brake booster, VH44.

hey John , did the RX7 master bolt up with the 2-bolt Vertical flange ? or did it need the bolt holers to drilled in the firewall ?

Yeah i'm running a 5k motor with twin webers, extractors, shaved head, port and polished, bored out, dished pistons instead of oringinal type and electronic ignition and mild cam with a 5 speed box. 8|
