Where's the best forum to post a question about buying a late model Corolla? (01-05). I want to ask about what sort of mods could be done to increase performance etc etc!

 

I didn't want to post it anywhere and get flamed because I'm a noob so I thought I'd ask here first!

You'd probably get flamed anywhere. Really need to ask specific questions to get good quality answers and info. What are your goals with the car? What are you going to use it for mostly, i.e. daily driving, weekend warrior?

Theres really not too much you can do with a late model vehicle, without knowing what you are doing, and have $$ behind you. You can't just go and chuck a bigger carby on, or different cams...

 

If you change anything, and it spits codes up; don't take it to your toyota dealership, as they wont want to know you & will just tell you to take it back to where you got the work done to get it fixed lol..

Anyways basically I just want it to be a daily driver with some zip to it. I was thinking something like putting cold air induction and a new exhaust in it. I figured I'd spend around 2-3000 on mods for it. Nothing crazy just want to add a few more kW here and there... My only requirement with the mods is that everything (except for wheels) must produce performance.. for instance I would not just get a cannon on it for it to sound/look good but it must give me a gain for it to be worth my while.. I am not into having a car that's bark is worse than its bite!! not saying thats what anyone does here but I know a few people who go for looks I want to go for performance to enjoy driving the car whilst it remaining economical and reliable.
