LittleRedSpirit Posted November 16, 2007 Author Report Posted November 16, 2007 geez I didnt know that, I'll have to add a pic of her to the shrine in my backyard..haha I must admit I don't know alot about the history of the UFC. I do know that most of the fights are very entertaining, although I find it a bit annoying when they wrestle aimlessly on the floor for 5 minutes I have every UFC at the moment, Ive seen them all except maybe UFC 7.5. They used to not stand them up at all, back in the day. These days its only permitted to stay on the ground if there are points being scored. They stand up the action so fast that unless their trying submission after submission it will be back up pretty soon. I don't mind watching 2 guys ground fighting. My idea is, if you just went and fought anyone with little or no sportsmanship involved it would definitely end up with someone on the ground getting whaled on, so I don't mind when its down on the mat, either the fight gets finished by ground and pound or submission, or they stand em up after a minute or so. You're pretty right about fights elsewhere, it does usually end up on the ground, especially if you really want to hurt someone, cos it doesnt usually stop until someone gives up. Speaking of boxing, I believe Floyd Mayweather is fighting Ricky Hatton pretty soon, that should be a corker, Hatton hasnt lost a fight since beating Kostya, and Mayweather has never lost period Quote

He has an effortless airy style and great evasion. I think this may be the fight where we find out if he has the power to box for more than points. Quote
Rollaboy2608 Posted November 16, 2007 Report Posted November 16, 2007 he aint so pretty for nothin, he doesnt get hit too often, and I reckon Hatton will hunt him cos he is that type of fighter Quote

LittleRedSpirit Posted November 16, 2007 Author Report Posted November 16, 2007 I'm so excited, I'm just about to watch the Ultimate Fighter, s6 ep9!! Woot. Quote
Rollaboy2608 Posted December 11, 2007 Report Posted December 11, 2007 Hey Red, I'm guessing you saw "yo boy" on the weekend carve up Hatton? Personally, I believe Mayweather is technically the best boxer I've seen in my 27 years, the guy is just so adaptable, and his defence must be pure frustration Quote
