4AGZE into AE82 has been done before, Requires the same modifications as dropping any 4AG(Z)E into any car that came with a 4A based motor.

Can use the original mounts, Need fuel pump, need to sort all the wiring etc.

If you can't figure this out for yourself you probably shouldn't be attempting the conversion yourself.

if money is no limits by all means this might be a great idea

the thing is with these conversions they can start to get very expensive. think around $5-8k+ for frontcut and all necessary parts + work. $5k area would be if you're doing alot of DIY work.

and this is all before engineering, rego and insurance etc.

i guess unless you have a sentimental attachment to your current rolla or it is particularly clean and rust-free etc. what you may be better off doing if you want an AE82 with GZE is to buy one that has already been converted. these go for less than $5-8k for sure. you could probably find a decent one for $2-3k or thereabouts

i once had a CS seca. bought a twinky hatch, got rid of the 4AC CS seca and i havent looked back since :hmm:
