beauistheman Posted March 12, 2008 Report Share Posted March 12, 2008 Hey I'm just gonna change my AE82 4AGE passenger side drive shaft. Is there anything i need to know that can make this job easier to get the shaft out of the disc hub? I know theres 6 nuts on the gearbox side and then the wheel nut with split pin. Rollaboy2608 Posted March 12, 2008 Report Share Posted March 12, 2008 get yourself a can of penetrant, and a soft faced hammer, as sometimes the shaft can be rusted in the hub end where it splines with the shaft. You might need to give it a good smack. DO NOT hit the end with a normal hammer, as you'll flare the end of the shaft Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
kennc_87 Posted March 14, 2008 Report Share Posted March 14, 2008 also make sure wen u put the shaft back in u put a lil bit of grease on the splines..n jus make sure it goes the whole way in...double check if u hav 2...but make sure its right or ull wreck the shaft and the inner spline in the gbox Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
