I'm looking at getting a corolla with a 3t-gte motor in it are thay a good motor

3t-gte 1978 Ke30 corolla for sale.i believe so.

nah waste of money IMHO unless your some kind of die hard old toyota fan. Spend your money on a CA18DET/SR20DET

i just what to know if they are a good motor I'm looking at getting it for all the stuff off it plus drive it aroud for a wail as i try and get a ae86 to put all the stuff out of it in to that

whats your definition of 'good'?? good power, good torque, good reliability, good fuel economy, good aftermarket parts....your not helping me out here

Yes they are a good motor. Yes it'll easily get you in trouble. Yes it'll pull a good skid. Yes it'll have enough grunt to keep you satisfied if the rest of the drivetrain will hold up. No it's probably not as good as an SR or CA engine, but it's a different generation engine. It all depends on what YOU want.

 

Dirve it. If you don't like it, don't but it.

 

Irokin: Corolla's with those motors are hard to come by. It's a lot cheaper to buy a built car like this than it is to build one.

EErrrrmmmmm, correct me if I'm wrong, as i had HELL trouble deciphering your post. Are you eventually looking at putting the 3t-gte in an AE86? Or the 4ag stuff into an earlier Corolla?

me finks he putting the 3t-gte into the Ae86, id leave it in the ke30.

You can't put a 3T into an AE86 anyway, it's too old an engine.
