Hey mate you should really do a search first. and if u mean ripping out ur 4spd box and putting in a 5spd box then yes it will. Aslong as it's the K series 5 spd.

I think they come out of ke55's correct me if I'm wrong.

They did but there's slight variations between the two. You're better off using a KE70 K50 if you're putting it into a KE70, going to be a bit of a reach to the shifter otherwise.

 

The 5spd is an option part so there's no sure way of telling just by the year. Teddy will correct me but off the top of my head its an option in the CS and XX for Australia.

all xx had 5 sped, and option in the cs

yupp, if you have a 70 its alot easier to just use a 70 box, same internals although the 70 has a different extension housing (i think its called)

yeah different extension houseing, tho wil stil work, your shifter position will be different

 

ke70 has its shifter right at the back of the ext houseing and ke30-55 had it in the middle so its further forward.

not sure about earlier models, they might have had it even further forward again? or same as ke30-55

nope, piece of cake. The 5 speeds don't vary between the KE70 trim specs, only between KE70/AE71/TE72 etc.
