ROLLN'03 Posted February 9, 2005 Report Posted February 9, 2005 Hey Guys! I'm new in here. :doublebird: I got a 1975 corolla wagon with a 1988 pulsar front cut, inc. custom bonnet + scoop. its a 4k with a dgv 51mm weber!? 2 1/4 exhuast with custom made stainless steel tip. Custom grey & red interior, funky mags, shaved rear bumper, custom front bodykit ( handcrafted ) ( took all weekend! ) Only got a 4spd, for now anywayz. Rebuilt + upgraded brake booster and rebuilt front discs. PICTURES COMING YOUR WAY SOON! got more pick up then my mates 1985 4ac 1.6 fwd & another mates 5FTE corolla (get this, he paid $18,000 on finance for a 1999 granny shopping trolley) :D my $2000 rolla chews 'em! :greenbounce: Anyways, got lost... i was wonderin, since yous give great advice and no-one else can help me, what would be the best, bang 4 your buck engine upgrade to really stand out??? savin' up for an ae86!!! :( thanks guys. irokin Posted February 9, 2005 Report Posted February 9, 2005 believe me its not always about how fast it is. It may have been 18k but I bet its got aircon and other modcons. Id choose my S13 silvia (electric everything) over my celica any day of the week. I kinda got lost in your post too.... hrmm bang for buck. CA18DET. you can pick them up fairly cheap because everyones (well majority) is going SR20 these days. Stand out? RB26DETT. expect to pay about $14,000 for a frontcut Unfortunatly there is no such thing that stands out and is cheap.... Quote
ROLLN'03 Posted February 9, 2005 Author Report Posted February 9, 2005 Its his choice, but just imagine what you could do with 18k??? THINK ABOUT IT! Quote
ROLLN'03 Posted February 9, 2005 Author Report Posted February 9, 2005 As for the ca18det or ca18de??? Would it mount up to the rolla engine brackets? How easy is it to install??? Interesting thought though, never had anyone mention that idea! :greenbounce: I was thinking either 5k Turbo or 4age or even 4agze? Got a mate with a 4agze in a 85' sedan, HUGE cooler, MaSSIVE POWER! * LIke burnin off 13bt POWER Quote
irokin Posted February 9, 2005 Report Posted February 9, 2005 R32 GTR :greenbounce: Yea probably not 18k well spent but you get my point? Quote
irokin Posted February 9, 2005 Report Posted February 9, 2005 r.e. CA18DET into corolla see this thread http://www.rollaclub.com/board/index.php?showtopic=202 beautiful install. I would pick CA18 over 4A-GZE. CA18 was mass produced on a larger scale hence cheaper hence easier to get parts for etc etc etc. Turbo 5K...not very good bang for buck. 13B-ts are kinda expensive. 12As were more reasonably priced last time I checked. ROLLN'03 Posted February 9, 2005 Author Report Posted February 9, 2005 thanks! Nissans seem to be the go eh'? Ill get back to ya! Quote
ROLLN'03 Posted February 9, 2005 Author Report Posted February 9, 2005 Nice! Are they a STRAIGHT bolt in??? What type of mags are they!? Catchya Quote
irokin Posted February 9, 2005 Report Posted February 9, 2005 zepters are the rims. Not a bolt in job. you will have to modify engine mounts amoung other things. Very few engine conversions are bolt in. Nissans are the go in my opinion. Other guys will have other opinions. Quote
Super Jamie Posted February 9, 2005 Report Posted February 9, 2005 nothing bolts into corollas except K motors if you want something better, you need to work at it, or pay someone else to. time to learn how to search Quote
