  5. Well guys, it's time for another LARGE cruise / run through our much loved hills of QLD... Wana make it big this time, so attendance is a must... I know it's a while away at the moment, but it's best to let everyone get things sorted ie; get your cars ready and save for fuel (whingers ) Date: 23rd September 2007 Location; Meet @ Aspley Maccas @ 8;30am Description; From Aspley Maccas it's a cruise up through the hills of Mt Glorious then down through Mt Nebo back through the city. A nice well paced cruise down the M1 to the magnificent hills of Springbrook where we will gather for a chat, check out everyones rides and have something to eat... 7. Yeah, we will have to stop around one day and check out this silvertop project, maybe we can give you a hand with something... Ive seen the celica around, had a Geez at the last sound off.... I was chasing you down the other night on Booral Road, but you turned off before i could harass you..... :) If you are out, make sure you come say hello........ JOsh :)
  8. No dramas... Aparently you work with a mate of mine? Cheyne? Do you also drive the blue celica with all the car audio gear? How far along is the silvertop20v KE55...? Cheers.... :)
  9. Haha, just stumbled across this... Its my mate, Biggo, in the Hypo Green KE70... You should see it getting around fairly often now days, he is ruling the streets... I drive the red AE86 Sprinter... We are usually out reppin' friday nights, come say hey if you see us out.... :)
  10. I'm up for that!...... ;) can't wait to see this thing in person!..... :]
  11. WOW!.... I WANT ONE!........ ;)
  12. Yeah, Med Man, That guy in 20v powered AE71 van? Reasons to convert to Webers?: Just the simplicity of it all... Being able to just throw a 4age in your average KE70/AE71/AE86 with the usual rwd mods, and not having to worry about hardly any wiring at all... And yes, 20v ITB would be great, but although its proven to run on a standard ECU, you should upgrade to a aftermarket ECU, which is where the money is... As soon as my other project is out of the way, i think i will grab a 4age some webers and start testing... ;)
  13. http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forum/in...?showtopic=5125 Check this out!.... B)
  14. The topic is very debated - I see..... :jamie: I always loved carbs, and the ability to throw a 4age engine package into any car with the simplicity of a carb setup would be awesome... WHY?: Everyone these days is going for more power or turbo... Personnal preference I spose... Just always loved 4age, Cams, ITBs = Simple... Mattyshop on AE86DC has converted his 4age over to S/T ITBs while still running the standard ECU... ;) Great discussion...
  15. OK, from what Ive found: You can convert to twin side draft carbs on the 4age, but the dizzy has to be changed to one with a mechanical advance system etc. Apartently there is a few options you can use, but all must be converted with the standard 4age dizzy... You can use: a 4ac dizzy, a 3t / 4k dizzy hybrid etc.... Any other information / definate answers etc would be much appreciated....
  16. Hey guys.... Just a question, something thats been on my mind for a while now...... Considering putting twin side drafts on a 4age...... Was wondering if anyone has had any experience in this department.... My main concern is controlling spark....... Will the standard dizzy from the EFI engine system do the job? I know its a N00B question... But I'm lost.... Ta, Josh :)
  17. Yeah, I got my 15 x 8" Superlite 8 Spokes for just under $250.00 each cash (per rim).... With stretched 195s on them..... -4 Offset as well....... Superlite have just brough out their 16" and 17" wheel range!...... :) Very tough strong rims..... :(
  18. 15" Superlites cost around $250.00 per rim, excluding tyre..... Try your local Bob Jane..... :)
  19. OK.... UPDATE.... :( Only had one day to work on this thing on the weekend... We now have it steering, have the brake booster and brakes all set up ready for brake lines, hand brake working, shifter all mounted... All we need now is to run the brake lines, panel up the body, mount the radiator, then wire it up!..... :) Pictures as follows, comments are more than welcome! Josh

Should be fully ready to drive not this weekend but the next!..... Although rego wont come till all inspections are complete.... Its first show appearance will be at Greasefest 2006 @ the Souths League Club in Brisbane..... Although its a big shame that it falls on the same weekend as Teddys KE70 Cruise.... All going well though, i might bring it down to show off.... ( only if Teddy doesnt mind :y: ) Pics will come after the weekend.... Currently the bottom of the door frame is lower than the chassis....! :)
