Ae71 With 4age Do I Need A Enginer Certificate

Featured Replies

hay guys i have done a 4age conversion on my ae71. it had a 4ac in it to start off with, i was wondering because it was a 1.6 litre do i need a enginer's certificate. i do realize that the 4age makes a bit more power than the old 4ac. what do you guys think or have any of you done this before. any help would be grate cheers jed

Where are you from mate? Would help others out in helping you with some information. :P

I'm not up to date with the Nsw roadworthy lawsbut here in QLD u are aloud no more than 30% of the origanl motors capaticy... which mean u do not need a "mod plate" a 1.3 ltr motor can be swaped with a motor with another with a max of 1.6l.. to get round it just stroke it hahaha

thats sweet!! here i was planning out all these other expencive things so that i could get a mod plate for my ke70

If you were in Victoria, the answer is definitely yes, you do need an engineers certification if it is to be legal with all the insurance issues that carries.

I believe this is also the case in NSW, but check with your central registration authority.

That does not mean your roadworthy guy, or the local RTA office. Or your girlfriends brothers mate.......
