I screwed mine to the side of the box

 

Bad idea. The vibration will eventually shake everything loose in the amp and it will let the magic smoke out :'(

yeah its a bad idea

 

but mines been bolted to the side of my box for about 3yrs, still goes strong!

never bolt or screw to box.

 

depending on what your running and what quality it is, very bad idea.

 

even alpine do it, seen it happen.

 

shake joint and main curcuit board apart.
