32/36 Downdraft Webber On 4ac

Featured Replies

Hey all I just purchased a lovely little 32/36 DGAV Downdraft Webber for my AE71 wich i purchased from a good mate of mine, it has a 4AC motor and I have heard that they are a bit hard to fit as the accelerator cable needs to be turned 180 degrees????

At the moment I have the Webber and I am getting the adaptor plate from sprints on Monday but after this I’m stuffed as to what to do and what else I need, if anyone could help with some information it would be much much appreciated.

Cheers Ben :)

take your throttle arm off the standard carby aNd put it on the webber,

then i think you can mod the accelerater cable holder bit

Ive taken some pics of how the weber should be arranged

Sounds like you're pretty much ready to fit the carbi. You will still get a noticible performance increase from just that.

With the new carbie you will be able to pull a lot more air and fuel into the motor so you need to get it out, hence your mates suggestion arround extractors and an exhaust system. That'd be your next step seeings as you already have the carbie ready to go on. You're not going to do any damage by just fitting the new carbie. You just won't realise your full potential.

Just don't go too big on the exhaust eh

yeah i agree, you may need to get the extractors custom made unless somone sells them off the shelf, id love to know how you go id like some too.

oi i think you should get a mild cam for it as the extra fuel and air flow might be wasted, it will still be an improvement.

alot of info about cams on club4ac.
