  3. Hey guys ive moved on to darwin, thought id drop in to see if the passion is still here? seems the SA section isnt as lively as it used to be, anyone still driving corollas ?

  8. Phil Bradshaw http://home.clear.net.nz/pages/phil.bradshaw/4AGE%20into%20RWD.htm
  9. SA has some nice roads :)nice route's
  10. spot on cruise is leisurely hills racing is kinda illegal and dangerous save it for the track nothing wrong with having a good time meeting people with like minded interests such as corollas but come on if ya wanna express yourself by driving your car fast who are you really impressing ?? :) us old fellas been there done that and know the whats at stake, i can tell a few stories and not proud of any of them
  11. that sucks for some reason alot of E7 related theft in that area
  12. swaps VR commy, hetic welded diff plus cash my way ??
  13. awwwwwww disscusion dropped off pretty quick :)
  14. i get in my AE71 4AC manual about 550km around town and have gotten upto 800-900km on the open road. with an "auto" diff
  15. $400 thats cheap. Take a spare battery and some fuel to get it started ? biggest thing iv'e seen go wrong is just worn out pitman arm and idler arm in the steering other than that i think they handle pretty good. pretty solid car so basic but like any 30 odd year old car maintenance should be be done to bring it up to a maintainable standard. Such as all drive line oils,air/oil/fuel filters, coolant, brake fluids and possible master and wheel cylinders might need to be replaced, usually found leaking after changing the brake fluid LOL. then the shopping list might increase to new radaitor, water pump, hoses, fan belt, few globes to keep the police from sussing you out and heck maybe even tyre's. only my 2 cents worth but its what id be looking at and doing once iv'e bought the car.
  16. have a fun safe trip guys
  17. yeh keep the cash for being messed around, its one thing to be interested in a car and its another to drop a deposit on one.
  18. ooooooo undercut how much we talkin might throw some cash around
  19. it sits nicely behind the lower trim panel under the steering column :)
  20. Quote is meant for Istartfires not trying to step on anyones toes :) Yeh good, ester base is my prefered oil. royal purple or motul chrono 300V 10w/40, my partner put 91 in it once and it ran like it had a misfire :) 98 back in runs superdooper :) turbo timer very cheap just keep it hidden. I bought 10 pack of genuine oil filters in bulk brought the price per filter down to 11 dollars. the copper sump plug washers new could be reused upto 3 services some like to use a cheaper motul oils due to cost but from what ive read if it isnt an ester based oil it wont protect the fine tolerances of the engine/turbo under stress/heat carbon and sludge buildup ect ect.(after reading 96 pages and reading the links on oils) $90-100 for royal purple 10W/40 $150 ish for motul chrono 300V 10W/40 ned to buy 4L and then a 2L unless they have started to make a 5L bottle :) oil filters on their own range between 18-25 depending on where who and what brand you buy. Id steer clear from ryco and cooper ect genuine does the job best for budget. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/forum/82-stagea-discussion/page__s__4e27c0d1ee884ee7fb317e3e1c6b9a5a Stagea section link http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/forum/10-general-maintenance/ and general maintenance section, just need to read what covers the NEO RB25 or just RB25 there are differences like spark plugs and oxygen sensors, coilpacks ect
  21. and we are building a desalinization plant in SA wtf!!
