Hello, just a hello from a newbie, who is glad to have a Toyota again. Previously i had a Toyota Corona and i think it was an 18R motor and it was extremely reliable and easy to fix. We sold both our cars when we moved to Cairns [didn't like it] for two weeks and when we got back we bought my sister's VP Berlina Commodore and will be sending that to the wreckers soon [blown head gasket and stuffed auto trans] and the other car i am working on is a Nissan Skyline 1989 also a blown head gasket. Both cars broke in early December, i nice early Christmas present. Anyway i kept thinking of that Toyota Corona and how good it was and looked on eBay and trading post to find one. Most had gone when i rang up to inquire. Eventually we have found a 1991 Toyota Corolla CS Twin Cam with a 4AFC engine. It runs smoothly and we are just waiting for the VicRoads appt. to get it registered on Tuesday. It's been frustrating waiting but the end is near. Does anyone know of any good links to tech specs or "how tos" for this motor or good places to get parts. Oh i also have a Gegorys Toyota Corona 2000 service and repair manual No 127 i'd like to swap for a Toyota Corolla 1991 manual.

All the best, Rob.

Hello and welcome to rollaclub. Great to see that another person has seen the light :)

I can't help much with your specific car in relation to its motor but can off some advice on where you can find it. Try looking in the FAQ, doing a search or if all else fails start a thread in the Mechanical - AExx Forum stating your problem and someone will be able to help you out there.
