SLO-030 Posted January 4, 2009 Report Posted January 4, 2009 T50 would be the box to use for the 4age swap. K50 is what you'd put in it if you wanted a 5spd behing the stock 4k Quote
ke70sleeper Posted January 4, 2009 Author Report Posted January 4, 2009 have you ever done manual conversion on a ke70? i heard that all ke70s a set up for manual an auto was a optional extra Quote
towe001 Posted January 4, 2009 Report Posted January 4, 2009 If its got the 4k in it then the k50 5speed from another ke70 or if you can find one, a t50 5speed with the k-t bellhousing. look high look low and be ready to pay through the nose for one if its what your really after... If your planning on using the 4ag motor then you'll be chasing after a t50 5speed from another 4a powered car (eg - ae71, ae86) so that it'll bolt start up to the 4ag. The t50 would be able to handle a bit of flogging. Quote
adam-__- Posted January 4, 2009 Report Posted January 4, 2009 Going to a T50 (4AGE), you will need to source a hydraulic clutch pedal box (hard to find these days), whereas going to manual using a K50, a cable clutch pedal box is used. I would say just wait till you can afford the 4AGE and go to manual once instead of going to the K50 then T50 later on. Hope that made some sense. Quote
