MYSTIK[RL] Posted January 14, 2009 Report Posted January 14, 2009 yes, since its still an A-series motor and you can even put the c160 6 speed manual in as well if your lucky enough to find one Quote
quadeyquade Posted January 14, 2009 Report Posted January 14, 2009 yes, since its still an A-series motor and you can even put the c160 6 speed manual in as well if your lucky enough to find one hard to fit it? Quote
MYSTIK[RL] Posted January 14, 2009 Report Posted January 14, 2009 if you mean the c160? not harder, just a little bit more work because you have to modify the shifter so you can get 6th and reverse. theres a guide on twincam.org somewhere i'll find it a bit later on when I'm bored and post the link :| Quote

MYSTIK[RL] Posted January 22, 2009 Report Posted January 22, 2009 depends, 1. condition of the engines 2. over condition of the cars also are the both 20v? reason i ask is due to the fact the the SX should be a 16v Quote
quadeyquade Posted January 23, 2009 Report Posted January 23, 2009 should be getting my 20v in this week. just waiting for money to go into my account Quote
quadeyquade Posted January 25, 2009 Report Posted January 25, 2009 Hey with all parts like timing belt and stuff, I have to get them from toyota dealerships right? Quote
damo101 Posted January 29, 2009 Report Posted January 29, 2009 Hey with all parts like timing belt and stuff, I have to get them from toyota dealerships right? sure do.. the 20valves wernt available locally so there will be no 3rd party (repco, supershit etc.) parts for them. unless of course some parts are interchangeable with the 16valve 4age like rear main.possibly cam and front cranks seals and maybe even the waterpump but i would still get genuine anyway mor the water pump. you can get part numbers from here: www.toyodiy.com because most of the clowns at the dealership have no idea when it comes to imports so its better if you get part numbers.
