  1. that road has been closed for ages now. i don't actually live in atwell anymore but still visit pretty often.
  2. thanks for the offer fellas. i got new tyres for it already. just need to sort out the little things on it.
  3. actually no. it was windscreen and tyres. but i will have to do something with the hole.
  4. do you know anyone that has a car with one converted or something? maybe they can take you for a spin so you can see what is good/bad about each motor.. the reason i went for a GZE is so if i want more power down the track (which we all do  ) then i don't have spend heaps to get it..but then again this might just be me :) also what about spare parts for either motor? VVT pulleys arent cheap. most things that fit small port 4age will fit a GZE as its the same base (in a nutshell) as beerhead said, whats the car going to be used for?
  5. because of the high compression that it has out of the box, and you have to fabricate a new air box for the quads.more aftermarket parts available for a 16V 4age. but it can be done, its just more piss farting around for the same result.
  6. i finished my GZE conversion about 2 months ago (in an ae82) and it was the best thing i ever did. i have driven a blacktop 20V aw11 mr2 and it was ghey. even the owner preferred the stock 16V. and a bonus is, if you go GZE and want more power all you need to do is put a turbo on and happy times.
  7. it depends what type box it has. if its a C series box (4age, including 20 valve) then it will have a shaft through the center but its almost never for LSD. heck even standard ae82 gearboxes have the shaft through the middle and none were factory LSD. if its a E series (GZE boxes) than its most likely a LSD if it has a shaft through the center. but the definite way to tell with any series box is put it in neutral, put a shaft in, turn in clockwise direction and if the other side spins the same way then its LSD, if not then its NON-LSD.
  8. all the hard work is already done, bonus. colour code the bumpers, and get a SX/GTI rear wing for the hatch. and lowerage with some nice wheels..then you have a nice looking go fast cruiser.
  9. hahaha. i know the owner! don't like him very much.
  10. OST fo lyfe. yeah i have the ae101 GTZ bonnet from the halfcut still. going to make a mold of that and make a scoop out of the mold so i can sell the bonnet without having to hack it up. also just installed some ISC coil overs this arvo.
  11. this is mine..needs some fiberglass, wet season is coming up :P
  12. ah cool! coil overs arrived. at customs atm so should get them by Wednesday.
  13. no way!! that car was awesome. well since june last year ive been putting a GZE in my ae82 finished about a month ago. i wish i had a skirts and a lip on mine :y:
