mitch4397 Posted February 9, 2009 Report Posted February 9, 2009 Hey boys and girls. Recently aquired a brand new Dash pad for my '20, courtesy of Raven. My problem is, with the windscreen in place on the car, the screws that need to be undone to remove the dash are tightly positioned under the corner of the windscreen. Ive heard that these screws can be removed without taking out the windscreen?! Anyone know how??? Any suggestions of methods or tools that can be used to do this would be greatly appreciated! Pics probably make more sense than my wording: Cheers Mitch. Quote
JiP Posted February 9, 2009 Report Posted February 9, 2009 I can't remember too well how I did mine but I think I pried it open and slid the new dash into it. Quote
mitch4397 Posted February 9, 2009 Author Report Posted February 9, 2009 Jip that was an option, but I'd rather that be the last resort IF I can get those screws undone. Quote
philbey Posted February 9, 2009 Report Posted February 9, 2009 Ahh, don't you love factory assembly sequences..... You could try a right angle screwdriver, I've seen them around, a bit like an allen key with a phillips head. Still going to be tricky. Quote
Jono Posted February 9, 2009 Report Posted February 9, 2009 i've used a stumpy screwdriver before to get them out. but i've since bought a right angled screw driver set, which would make it easier to crack it at least. Quote
mitch4397 Posted February 9, 2009 Author Report Posted February 9, 2009 cheers for the replies fella's. I'll try the right-angled screwdriver idea. Quote
