LukeAE71 Posted April 17, 2009 Report Posted April 17, 2009 hi all, ive got a 73celica and i want to upgrade to a lsd diff. what parts do i need? model? can anyone point me in the right direction. thanks [email protected] You will need to measure up hilux diffs at wreckers to see which ones are a similar width to yours. RN41 model comes to mind as that is similar width to a KE70 corolla so may work in Celica. Then you will need your existing body mounts that are on the diff welded onto the new diff, trailing arms modified etc. This will prob cost around the $1000 mark depending on who you get to do the work. You will need to be running big power to justify something like this under the rear of your car. Quote
SLW42 Posted April 17, 2009 Report Posted April 17, 2009 i was lookin at doing this to my celica man and the celica's are thinner than a ke70 or ae71 corolla so you have to get the diff shortened Quote
johnny t Posted April 17, 2009 Report Posted April 17, 2009 hey mate ive have a early model hilux diff in my ke30/55 and i didnt have to shorten it at all its roughly 50mm bigger in width than standard corolla diffs. not sure what model its out of its like pre 80's 2wd.. to rebuild my lsd and get it put in was $2500... good luck with it hope this helps johnnyt Quote
